Les Miles for DC. Good luck with that.

[HD6]

The guy saying they should call Jim Tressel or Les Miles really should be an Ole Miss fan.

[dawgman42]

I like the guy that repeatedly has to mention the skills of Walmart "greaters".

I think sirmon is a good dude and wish him success. He was just in over his head here.

[tatedog]

I wasn't sure if he was misspelling greeters or graters. I guess walmart needs graters too.

[HD6]

I don't know if anybody has a Rivals membership, but somebody post in that thread and show them this.

[Drebin]

I don't know if anybody has a Rivals membership, but somebody post in that thread and show them this.

That's the single worst defensive performance in the modern history of MSU football. I mean, Ron Cooper's defenses didn't look this bad. Arkansas didn't need to dress the punter.

[MaroonNation]

"What about exactly? The fact that 30 days before NSD we are losing our (top 10 ranked) DC and assuredly another coach? The 'other' coach btw, that was responsible for the inside linebacker - of which we have had several outstanding ones the last 3 years. Side note on that guy - you keep saying our "special team aren't any good" - what specifically are you referencing when you say this?

Perhaps your "excited" about the reports that we are going to hire the DC from Miss St. - the one that was fired so that they could make room to hire our (now former) top 10 ranked DC? Why did they fire him exactly? Because his defenses were terrible - ranked only about 90 places behind ours. Maybe you're "excited" by all of this guys WC recruiting ties? That has really worked out well for us in the past - if only we could re-open that California pipeline that propelled us to where we are today...

Is the continuing negativity surrounding the program that makes you so "excited"? This kind of continued turmoil can be devastating on recruiting.

No, you're "excited" because you feel some warped sense of vindication regarding TG. But like always, you're wrong - he wasn't fired because he is a "moron", he simply took the latest of high profile jobs that he was offered.

It must be miserable to be you."

Dayam! BPGhost bringing the heat!

I don't have time to re-make this meme, but that thread went something like this:

[Wizard.sixpack]

Alot of damage control going on at that board.

[Wizard.sixpack]

Surely this guy aint serious......

I heard that Jon Gruden wants to be a DC was looking at horse farms outside of Louisville this morning

[tatedog]

I don't which part of Miles to Louisville is the most ludicrous.

1) Miles working under Petrino for ANY reason... they can't stand each other.
2) Miles being a DC... why not just name him women's softball coach too?
3) Miles working as an assistant in the ACC in any shape or form.

[maroonmania]

Alot of damage control going on at that board.

They need some damage control after hiring Sirmon.

[Junction John]

It is amazing the parallels between what they are saying about Grantham and what we're saying about Sirmon.

One big difference, however: one has perennial top-20 defenses, and one has not broken the top-100 defense barrier yet.

[anonymous.sixpack]

Done

[Shamoan]

if they think getting off the field on 3rd down with grantham was bad, wait until they cant even get to 3rd down with sirmon.

[Lakedawg]

I don't get why they keep insisting State is a step down from Louisville. What am I missing? Are we a step up? Probably not. However, I don't see Louisville as superior.

[Carbaryl]

I've been to a game at Louisville a couple of years ago and I can tell you they are not a step up from State in any shape, form,or fashion. They are UK football with a little more fan interest.

[maroonmania]

Someone should ask them if they had any games this year where Grantham's defense didn't force a punt the entire game?

[Msubulldogfan1]

Louisville from everything I hear is a **** city also. Lots of ghetto and high crime rates. Never been there so I can't confirm

[Carbaryl]

It's better than it use to be.I have a few family members that have lived there for years, it's nothing to gloat about put it that way.

About even jobs. Easier to win at Louisville due to schedule, but MSU recruits better and typically has better players on the field.

[diggidydog]

They were on pace for 1,600 rushing yards halfway through the first quarter...we buckled down after that and held them to only another 160 rushing yards and 300+ passing yards over the last 3 and half quarters...58 points and 661 total yards that night. They had running plays of 72, 50, 42, 33, 30 and passing plays of 34, 33, 32 29, 24 & 23...that was fun!

[olblue.sixpack]

You cant confirm because it isn't true. It has its issues on the west side just like any other city. But as you move east and north, it is awesome.

[CochiseCowbell]

That was a pretty fun read. They have the Heisman Winner returning & they're bickering about EVERY THING. Several blowhards & interwebs slap fighting. I don't know how that one guy is a "four star poster" but saying our defense could tackle is a stretch.

[Wizard.sixpack]

Go to Google maps, street level at Papa Johns Stadium. It looks like it is right next to the ghetto.

[WeWonItAll(Most)]

I've checked that thread a few times today to see if any of our guys have posted in it. They could certainly use some first hand accounts of what they're getting.

Saw someone say he hoped Sirmon didn't constantly leave the DBs on an island like Grantham does. I hope he prefers 10 yard cushions all the way down the field.

[Junction John]

Blueser to the rescue!!!1!!

I'm surprised you're defending your arch rival like that.

[Todd4State]

Bend but don't break?

I see them more on a par with Cincinnati, not us. They've moved up some in the past few years though (football-wise).

[RocketDawg]

Surely this guy aint serious......

He misspelled Oxford. **

[Junction John]

Good lord I hope we never hear those words again about our D.

[bruiser.sixpack]

Louisville from everything I hear is a **** city also. Lots of ghetto and high crime rates. Never been there so I can't confirm

It is St. Louis without the Arch...... and maybe no suburb like Ferguson.**

[xxxWalkTheDawg]

Hope we pick up the ability to tackle in open space

And not have to blitz to get pressure on the opposing qb

oops

Do they not have space bars in Kentucky? What is your opinion on Dale's Sauce? Do you even have a BGE?

Downvote for not spacing
