ULM question

What do yall think the score would have been if we had played La-Monroe last weekend? My guess is 38-7 Dawgs.

With that said, I just don't understand why Ole Miss fans are making such a big deal out of beating ULM. Am I wrong here?

Because they have a decent shot of going 8-4
Because they are going to the Cotton or Peach OM going to peach is a travesty. They would be 7-5 if they went.
Because they don't have Croom as head coach.

0-8 last year, with a crushing loss in the Egg Bowl. 3 total SEC wins in the last 3 years. Some heartbreaking losses this year. Then, all of a sudden, you've just beaten the **** out of someone, anyone, to be bowl elegible. so there's a little more emotion attached to beating this ****** team than normal.

When our next coach beats the crap out of a team to reach bowl eligibility, come back and see if our fans are excited too. I fully expect them to be. Ole Miss endured 3 years of idiocy under Orgeron. Now they hired a competent coach and they are bowl eligible for the first time post-Eli. What do you expect?

Meanwhile, MSU has bigger fish to fry than worrying about what Ole Miss fans are doing after reaching bowl eligibility. You see, we are having our 7th losing season in 8 years and are likely to be saddled with Croom for another year of bad offense, inexcusably bad coaching decisions, and highminded antics when questioned about his lack of head coaching ability. "He got the ball." Yes Croom, and Greg Byrne should get a letter of resignation from you.

This is normally a game we'd win 31-14 or 34-20, or some ****** score like that. However, instead of playing around with a team like that, OM went out with a killer instinct. They put it away early and Monroe was never in the game. This is something OM has lacked for several years, leading back to the Cutsloan years. It shows improvement compared to beating a team like Northwestern State 38-31 last year.

How in the hell did Alabama lose to La Monroe last year, and why did Arkansas struggle against them this year? As soon as I saw ULM run out of the tunnel I knew that I had placed a very bad bet against the rebels.

....if State beat Departed Sisters Of The Poor by a score of 59-0.

It's been over eight years since we hung 59 or more on anyone, and it's been over nine years since we shut anybody out.

I would happily take it.

we will all probably be highly appreciative. A loss at home to the hapless pigs and a blowout at the hands of Ole Miss will be too much for even the worst of sheep.

So don't slip up and beat us 20-17 or something. I guess I would love to win, but **** I don't know if I could handle Croom another year.

This is all assuming we lose to Arky AND after I read Wyatt's article.

We were up 38-0 against a Division I team at halftime. We never do that. We threw a shutout, something we never do.

ULM is not a good football team, but they are on par with Troy St, who they beat the week before and Troy gave LSU a ball game.

I agree with someone below that we would normally win that game 31-17 or something like that, with ULM rolling up 325 yards of offense.

We actually dominated the game in every facet, just something we haven't done in a long time.

momentum in college football. ULM beat Troy the week before losing to UM 59-0. The Rebs must have been clicking very well last week. LSU's D just did not show up against Troy in the 1st half...they had a huge hangover. If LSU begins slow again the Rebs will roll. It could be a really good game.

We COULD have beaten SLU like this, but Croom chose not to. He ALWAYS stops at 35, no matter what, and it pisses me off. We had Delmon Robinson running to the 20 and TAKE A KNEE on the 20 yard line. Croom thinks he is being "classy" but what he does is really almost as bad as hanging 70 Steve Spurrier/Urban Meyer style on someone, or actually worse to me. PLAY THE GAME OUT. If they can't stop you, that's not your problem.

It makes no sense, especially when he has to know that people are calling for his OC's head and his head for that matter.

To Ole Miss I say this: Congrats on playing a complete game of football. You deserve to be excited for playing so well, no matter how good or bad the opponent is/was. You deserve to be excited about being bowl eligible. Congrats. I wish State had a coach that actually did what the fans wanted rather than try to impress some coonasses with his "character" at some weak-sister LSU wanna-be school which has all of 26 fans.

I long for the day where we beat people like Tulane 66-0 on homecoming. Now it takes us four games to get 66.

"Now it takes us four games to get 66"

Come on now, that's not even right. It takes more than 4 games to reach 66.
