Trash talk? Literally, trash talk?

Unfortunately, this does happen. I hate that it does, but it happens everywhere. MSU, OM, LSU, UGA, etc. Drunk people are horrible tenants across all fan bases.

ETA: OMG, the trash is gone?!?! http://gameday.msstate.edu/webcam.php

One thing I think would help: electricity in the Junction. Run power to boxes every so many feet and put up temporary posts where people can plug in lights, etc. Alabama has this on the quad where they tailgate and anytime there is a game with tailgates set up after dark, they're all lit up with rope lights and the like. It is a lot easier to abandon trash when it's dark outside.

Also, I hate dealing with a generator.

They ran out of garbage bags by 8:00 a.m. Need to keep those garbage bag dispensers stocked.

Lights or no lights......

It's going to look like that or very similar to that. Electricity will just make it more visible when they leave. Students don't care.....

While alcohol is a major contributor, it ain't just the drunks messing up our beautiful campus.

It shows a lack of respect for the campus. The majority of tailgaters bring garbage bags. You don't see it this bad anywhere else on campus. It's seen by 1/2 or more of the folks attending games on campus. It's an embarrassment to the university and those trashing the area should be strung up along university drive by their thumbs.

It IS a big deal.

Um, yeah it is a big deal. Clean your own **** up, and don't leave it to the University to pick up your trash. How would you like it if you had a party at your home and you had to pick up everyone else's trash, or pay someone to do it. Bring garbage bags or borrow from a tailgate neighbor, and pick up your own ****, it's not that hard. It's my MSU too!!!

Most of the trash I see there is in bags. Sure, there is some out of bags and that's going to happen when you have 100K people milling about in one area. That is the closest tailgating area to the stadium. it is NOT a big deal, and anyone acting like it is a big deal just wants to start ****. Everyone does their best but in a game featuring a monsoon things can get a little out of control. It was cleaned up by the next day. Quit looking for crap to complain about...
