Someone tell me where the 17 we get these idiots from? I have seen the strike zone change inning to inning for the past 4 or 5 games. It is ridiculous. I thought SEC umps were the "real deal." So far, they have sucked and if we continue to get those types of umpires, we are going to have a very long season. Not saying we lost because of the umpire but they sure have 17'd us a few meaningful times during our games.

Bracewell was a stud tonight...he was 17ed multiple times by the home plate ump, but he managed to nut up and get the job done. Luckily, Cohen was there to pull his *** out in time for Katz to give us our yearly reach around.
Yep, several times. That umps zone changed multiple times. I hate umpires in the first place but they have been terrible lately. It needs to get fixed and we need to get some real umpires. These guys we've been getting act like rec league guys. And Bracewell was awesome. I have no clue why he got pulled nor why we didnt bring Holder in instead of Will Cox to close it out. Hopefully we can bounce back and win at least one of these.
I'm not in favor of bringing in Holder unless we have the lead. We didn't, so I didn't expect him or want him to come in. Not sure why we didn't leave Bracewell in a little longer, he was rolling.
I don't think the umps have been that bad...but they were for Bracewell tonight. And that called 3rd strike against Renfroe was horrific...not only did it land high, but it crossed the plate really high. You shouldn't have that call go against you ever, much less at home with your best hitter up in a tight game. That was disappointing.

the inconsistent strike zone affected both sides tonight. To say the least, this stupid-*** ump lead to 10-12 more at bats per team. The difference is that LSU, like UCA, takes every at bat seriously and we don't. We have this mentallity that we will get it next time. LSU capitalized on the gifts from the ump. We did not.
Gentry also got screwed on a 2-2 pitch called a ball. That guy ended up walking right before the Frost error (and later scored).
