Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., confirmed on Tuesday that he met with Iran's foreign minister.
Murphy's tweets confirmed an earlier report that Murphy and other Democratic senators held a secret meeting with Zarif.
"I’m not the President or the Secretary of State — I’m just a rank and file U.S. Senator. I cannot conduct diplomacy on behalf of the whole of the U.S. government, and I don’t pretend to be in a position to do so," Murphy wrote.

Even though Murphy's actions are not illegal just like the Congress invited Israel PM to address Congress undercutting Obama's administration, regardless of what one thinks of this president, his administration and all their actions, discussions with any member of a government we are on the brink of war should not happen by a member of Congress.

We are not on the brink of war with Iran. The last thing they want to do is get their asses lit up by us.

Being a Trump *** sucker rationalizing everything he and the Republicans do in order to save face for the tribe, I realize seeing objectivity and speaking out is foreign to all right wingers on this board.

Liberal Socialists wouldn’t know the truth if it hit em in the nose. The liberal news sources only spew stories of negativity, vitriol and hate. Makes me sick.
Don't dissolve into tears every time someone criticizes our corrupt POTUS, it's not a good look for ya. You should thank the media for staying on his ***.

Nausea isn’t tearful. And if the reporting was balanced then there would be articles that offered constructive criticism of Shitff, Chuckie and Negative Nancy. There might even be a NYT or WP article reporting how feckless Barack was. Not ever going to happen.

BO got criticized for 8 years. If thin skinned Trump can't take it then he should resign.
