Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., confirmed on Tuesday that he met with Iran's foreign minister.
Murphy's tweets confirmed an earlier report that Murphy and other Democratic senators held a secret meeting with Zarif.
"I’m not the President or the Secretary of State — I’m just a rank and file U.S. Senator. I cannot conduct diplomacy on behalf of the whole of the U.S. government, and I don’t pretend to be in a position to do so," Murphy wrote.

Even though Murphy's actions are not illegal just like the Congress invited Israel PM to address Congress undercutting Obama's administration, regardless of what one thinks of this president, his administration and all their actions, discussions with any member of a government we are on the brink of war should not happen by a member of Congress.

We are not on the brink of war with Iran. The last thing they want to do is get their asses lit up by us.

Nausea isn’t tearful. And if the reporting was balanced then there would be articles that offered constructive criticism of Shitff, Chuckie and Negative Nancy. There might even be a NYT or WP article reporting how feckless Barack was. Not ever going to happen.
