had 18 years of reading this site flash before my eyes, since the end of the game. lot of frustrations, jokes about 1941, banana boy from Clemson, Heydog's great purge, JackatShelter.....i could go on all night. this just feels like a weight has lifted. so glad my dad (MSU class of '61) is still around to see this, and that I was able to watch the final game with him. He got me hooked on MSU baseball as a kid.

Seeing grown-*** men cry really puts the whole thing into perspective.

I'm on a business trip to my home office in Miami. We're in the hotel bar watching the game and I get emotional after the final out and I have to explain my tears to my peers.

They didn't comprehend my emotion and made fun of me for my tears of joy, but I honestly give zero *****. This is a LONG time coming.

Dude I cried for 2 hours after we hit the home run to go up 9-0. You don’t gotta explain ****. Hail state. You deserve this man! We all do. Enjoy it. People that aren’t state fans will never understand our struggle. We have gone through more than anyone. We don’t have fair weather fans. We are a tight knit family that loves and hates together. I cannot wait till I get home to celebrate with my wife and kids. One the first things we did together when we were dating and after got married was go out to the baseball field and watch games. I probably took them to more baseball games than football games. My daughter subscribed to Hulu plus tonight so she could watch us in the championship. After watching last night and tonight my granddaughter (five) decided she wants to play T-ball and that she is a Mississippi state bulldog for life. She told my daughter as she was being tucked into bed, "We won mommy! The Bulldogs won it all!" It got dusty in here after she told me that.

By the way my daughter graduated from MSU and my son-in-law graduated from Texas A&M. I guess we have another future MSU student growing up!
