And I don't disagree with a word of that except me being "clouded by bias." You know better than me about a unx player. You say he's gone , he's gone. Fine. What I DO disagree with is any talk of a Top 10 kid entering school ( in this day and age! ) being on a "3-year plan." I ain't the one clouded by bias if you buy into that.

I think you and other Duke posters on this board are wrong about Roy "ruining" top prospects. And I'm not in the head of Jackson or his parents, but if they had a plan to stay three years, who am I to question it?

People used to say K didn't make good pros or develop people. I think Jackson's growth as a player, being an AA, ACC Player of the Year, National Champion, and now being projected to be a mid to lotto pick speaks for itself.

As for Bradley, I will respect his decision if he chooses to stay, but I think one more year where he averages 16 and 10 would put him in the top 10 on the 2018 mock draft. If that happens, he should go pro. But not yet.

Outside of 3-point shooting, Jackson didn't improve a whole lot from 2015. His Player Efficiency Rating went from 17.8 as a freshman to 21.3 as a junior. Pretty marginal if you ask me.

Where did I say Roy "ruined" players? I said we could debate how his guys develop but even that's a far cry from saying he "ruins" people. Geez Louise , even debating it doesn't = "Roy ruins players." What I DID say , however , is that a Top 10 recruit ( particularly one that goes to unx or any other "blue blood" ) doesn't come in on a "3-year plan." They just don't. Maybe he was over-ranked outta high school. Maybe it took 'im awhile to get comfortable with the transition from high school. Maybe Roy's substitution pattern didn't lend itself to having him come out like a ball of fire. Who knows? Coulda been anything. But he didn't come to school on a 3-year plan. No way. He may have come to the realization , at some point , that 3 years was gonna be the minimum. Again. Who knows? But I never said he "ruins" players.

Grayson Allen? Really? His stock ain't where it was and , obviously , that's for a couple of reasons. At least one of which has nuthin' to do with his game. Kennard passed 'im anyway. Would anyone here be shocked if NBA gm's had questions about his attitude and maturity? Regardless , we can all cherry-pick players from every program who passed on a favorable draft status to stay in school. It doesn't change anything about Roy's retention rate on elites. It's high. I don't know why some get defensive about it. Is what it is.
