Just one week after reopening due to Covid outbreaks UNC has had to go back to off campus learning.

With people ignoring Covid and/or pretending its politics rather than a deadly disease (170,000 known dead this year in U.S as of today) this could be happening soon in more places--i.e. Oklahoma State has had recent problems.

Doesn't bode very well for fall sports.

Also this...
Maybe in the future we could have universities only for the athletes?

>>Source: One ACC President has been told by medical personnel that the best course moving forward is to have virtual classes with all non student athletes moving off campus.<<

Rate of deaths is "still below" the May peak of 2,500 per day.

Would be interesting to see if theyd do that- that will further the athletes argument that they indeed are essential personnel and even employees treated differently than the rest of the student body- which of course they are. Just a matter of time before the athletes are compensated as they should be.

As you'd know if you paid attention to facts instead of playing politics--dying is NOT the only problem people are experiencing when infected with Covid (although tens of thousands are). There are many other lingering symptoms such as brain and heart issues that may last for life.

The students themselves may not die, but they very well may infect others who will. All of the tens of thousands that have died (170,000 and counting) were infected by someone else--many by people who got it because they refused to social distance, wear masks etc.

This is why the school shut down. And why its absolutely critical in order to stop this disease so that at some point things can start to function as people want them to--such as college football.

Its 100% political.

The only political aspect is people trying to deny Covid is a problem. For the rest of the entire world its a DISEASE. A DISEASE people are working at trying to stop, while people like you are all too happy to spread it and make it worse for POLITICS.

Wife just had positive covid patient yesterday...completely fine.

You do understand different people have different symptoms right? You do understand some transmit the disease to others--many of whom DO get very sick, many of whom have DIED. Hey, its great if one person doesn't have bad symptoms--that doesn't mean no one else they come into contact with will.

Look at Herman Cain, went to a rally with no face masks and no social distancing. Two weeks later had Covid. Couple of weeks later DEAD.

Lol, yeah...I am the problem. At home from work, watching my three kids play in the backyard...so my wife, who is 8 months pregnant can work an extra shift at her hospital that brought in covid positive patient yesterday - because they need her there.

Things would be so much better without people like us, huh?

Yeah, all those people who died in long-term health care facilities got sick because they spent their evenings partying in night clubs without a mask on....
