Another domino in it is Gosnell's younger brother who is shaping up to be quite a player himself.

Yeah, this has been in the works for a while. A couple of week ago the Heels offered the other big wide receiver for E. Surry (#11) a preferred walk on spot and he committed.

Boaz father was in the same class and was the punter for the Heels when my son was a student trainer.

Great players and a super team. Hope everything works out.

Not a unc fan but Mack has always been a great recruiter. He was still getting top classes when Texas was regressing, I thought that was weird. But unc is in the coastal division so he should be able to make things happen there. VT and Miami both seem to be on downward slopes. GT is having to establish a new identity and time will tell if they can. Pitt has a unc jinx until further notice and Duke will never be able to get top football recruits with their academic standards.

Carolina should have a pretty good opportunity in the next few years to establish themselves.

Wolfpack ain’t worried about it. He probably flipped because State got a commitment from Crabtree.

Sorry to pop your Wolfpack bubble but Gosnell grew up a Tar Heel fan. He committed to NC State because he did not have a UNC offer. UNC WR coach Lonnie Galloway was at the E. Surry/Reidsville game when Gosnell lite up the Rams secondary like a christmas tree. He visited for the UNC/Clemson game, got an offer, and you guys have lost maybe the best WR I have ever seen play in Reidsville's Community Stadium.

And I have seen every game the Rams have played there.

Sorry, Wiz.:)

Why? Howell is damn good.

Not a big fan of his, but I meant it as he wont get to catch balls from his current QB they want to play TE. Well, I guess they could run a TE reverse pass or some wicked wildcat schemes with he and Williams in the backfield.

Future looks bright on the Hill.

Yea all the articles I have read at the Wolfpacker they raved on him. When a kid grows up a fan of a school and gets an offer to go there you can't be upset with him for taking it.

Isnt there a separate board for this stuff? I get y’all are just 4 plays away from the National Title game.

Are the 2 rbs for Boston College still shredding the wolpfack run d? Maybe they got tired and just stopped at 1000 yards.

Y’all still got a basketball player on a football uniform? Are there any UNC football fans left now that basketball season has started? Is Mack Brown still using life alert?

Well, let me be Reidsville politically correct and say he is the best VISITING WR I have ever seen play in Community Stadium. Wouldn't want to be thrown out of my seat this Friday.o_O
Gosnell is a great high school receiver, but come on Reidsville played him in man coverage all game. Any D1 caliber receiver would have had that type of game if opposing defenses played man coverage. I was more impressed with what he did from behind the line of scrimmage running the ball and disgusted with our lack of tackling, when we’ve contained far better running backs . I believe his success against reidsville was more due to the fact the The Players and coaches underestimated him and got burned. Gosnell has played against far more inferior defense and didn’t put up the kind of number he put up against us. He even admitted to it in a interview. “he couldn’t believe Reidsville played him in man coverage and stayed in man coverage”

Yeah, I suspect, actually I know that the Rams coaching staff believes they made a huge mistake with their coverages that game.

Oh so he's great because 3-4 UNC offered, yea right. Mack's a good recruiter, but in his previous reign at UNC that recruiting never won an ACC championship. Name a flipper who became a superstar. Ratings and the star system in recruits is widely overrated. Coaches know who they can work with and there are LOTS of them out there.

Not a Carolina fan but hope more of our talent stays in the state. I know Clauson for Wake has signed more in state players than Grobe did. Within three years UNC will be competing with Clemson if Brown keeps getting these classes.

As far as Gosnel against Reidsville the thing I was impressed with was how hard he ran the ball. He ran thru a lot of tackles

Another thing is I think the east surry coaches planned to use gosnell more against reidsville then previous opponents.

I say this a lot but it’s I like breon and Canada at corner like last year. Edwards would have been good in the secondary vs east surry another d1 athlete

They didn't use him much against west stokes but there were better matchups for them in that game. I thought Reidsville would make adjustments at halftime. I don't think the coach from Carolina could have seen him play any better.

I thought they would too. Rams made good adjustments in the state championship game vs Ne, surprised when they did nothing.

Not knocking the young man but with the competition (other than Reidsville) thst he’s played against it would not be difficult to succeed.

Now Wiz, you know you would never have posted this if he was still a Wolfpack commit.:confused::confused::(:(:(

If you can destroy the Rams secondary and linebackers, you can do the same against almost every high school defense.

I still say Gosnell only played against 7-8 defenders when he played Reidsville because there were 3-4 that went reverse from chicken salad to chicken sh.... well , you get the idea!

For you guys that have seen him I have a question. Inside Carolina had some great highlights of the young but on three or four of these highlights he hurdled the defender and I was wondering if they called a penalty on him?

Is that a penalty now?? Jerome Simpson,( former Reidsville great and the hurdler that jumped over a Cardinal defender a few years ago when he played for the Bengals) used to do that all the time....high school, college and of course pro................................

There’s a thread on the 4A boards about this very topic. Been illegal in high school for a long time.

I think maybe if a guy is on ground or on knees it’s legal! Maybe only time they call it is if guy is on feet in tackling position. Not positive but have seen it called and not called!
