We need a big time LT and a big time edge and we can compete with anyone, provided the coaches do their job….which is a big if

I'm getting reeled in for 2026. A modicum of excitement.
One more OL with real playing time in P4 and I will be pretty excited. I don't know that we'll have a good line at that point but I think we'll be at least average, maybe even P2 average. Would really like to see what this offense looks like with average blocking.

I always get optimistic every off season and it usually lasts thru game 3 or 4 and dies a slow miserable death only to be reborn via recruiting. This year may be different. If we sign maybe another edge, another tight end and Jordan Seaton I will be beyond wooly. Hopefully not to be dashed game 4...lol

He’s the heaviest add at 340 lbs. If he’s in elite cardio shape, moves well for his size, and can maintain power through high snap volume in Lebby’s extreme pace, this will be a good add. I suspect he may try to lose some weight. Happy to have him, happy to have any linemen.

I was not optimistic at all starting this season. I'll admit I started to get optimistic when we went to OT with UTenn, before finding out that stepping on our dick at the end of games was going to be a common approach.

I'm still not optimistic yet for this season. But one OL away.

If he could do that he’d still be at Alabama. Remember as bad as Alabama OL had been under DeBoer, he transferred out to a lower prestige program.

Great pick up. We are gaining momentum! Most of our portal signees are P4. Now we need a back up punter and a monster RB like Bothwell so injury doesn't slow us down.

Looking forward to 2026. Without an OL we did this.

Yup. What if we have even an average OL? Where would that put us? I'm still not excited because it really only takes one turnstile to completely hamper your offense, but I feel like if we have another average P4 OL transfer in, you put Steen, McVay, one more transfer OL, and surely we can find two more adequate starters and two adequate backups out of the other ones we have? Probably will be paper thin again, but should be ok if we are lucky avoiding injuries and probably not a disaster if we do have an injury?

You can see this coming a mile away. We win 7-8 games with Lebby.

KT gets snatched by some big money team.

We are forced to stay with Lebby because he's improved every year.

He struggles in 2027. We are right back here wondering if he's the guy.

It's the MSU way.

To be fair we had people wanting to get rid of Mullin every year. Of course some of that was due to the window shopping he did every November/December.

This might be the best pre-schitting post of all time. Three years down the road pre-schitting

Flapjack Owens just entered the portal. Guessing he realized he wasn't going to start next year with the new guys coming in on the O line

Winning 6 games would be an improvement. I can deal with baby steps as long as we're stepping in the right direction.
