With all due respect to the team, until they show me that they can play tough and confident against somebody besides cupcakes, I’m not saying anything. They have no problem getting pumped up with they are beating itt technical Institute but look like wimps against a good team. This has to change
I will reserve any trash talk until we can finish the first half without being down 20 points.
I have seen low before but this is an all-time low. Playing UNC!!!! Get your heads up. We are favored without 2 starters.
I’m afraid it’s going to be a long night tonight. And I hate UNC. My best buddy is a big UNC fan, booster, and all around ***** when it comes to UNC. I haven’t even texted him about it. To be fair, he isn’t feeling good about his team either.
This is our biggest rivalry game of the season IMO. Plus we really need this win.
I agree 100%, until they play a hard fought game against North Carolina tonight, they haven't earned ****, as a team or coach's. Playing hard should be a given, every single game. And so far we have played like pussys, against good comp, and that is not Kentucky basketball at all.
Ive not seen a single thing about our team to crow about. I’m not giving up yet , but I’m in the “prove it to me “ mode .
UNC is a very beatable team. They have one superstar and we are better at every other position and the bench. We play half decent we win, we play good and we win by double digits. This is a UNC team that entered the year with low expectations and we should win this one by double digits regardless of how we’ve looked in the other two ranked games we played. UNC is a clear notch below Louisville and MSU.
It’s Veesaar and Bogavac that I’m worried about. Veesaar has been presenting problems for teams from the beginning and Bogavac is warming up after getting acclimated - if he and Veesaar are left wide open with all day to shoot UK will be in trouble. Even Wilson can hit a perimeter shot against the defense we've been putting up against screens. Enticing the “superstar” into trying to do too much would be my plan if we had Dioubate, but without him I’m not as comfortable that UK can apply the pressure and defensive tactics/smarts to make that plan work well. I know I'm being pessimistic - maybe too much so - but I just don't think this UK team is ready to beat the better teams yet.
Looking forward to a good game. Not sure how I feel about the outcome. As a Heels fan I gotta say that I respect Kentucky. I always enjoy when we play y'all no matter who wins. Both teams are playing with injuries. I have noticed a lot of Kentucky fans are upset and believe me I get it. Y'all will be better when y'all get Lowe and JQ back and we will be better when we get Trimble back. Here's to a good game between the top 2 programs of all-time imo. Go Heels!
