Just found this. Not sure if this was ever posted? Maddie Dimaria USWYNT, 2024 Gatorade NATIONAL POY., 2025 Gatorade Missouri POY

Could be a candidate for early enrollment or she may never see college?

I am adding names to the first post in this thread as I find them

So I did a deep dive on 2027 recruits and created this chart which is now also added to the 1st post in this thread. The rankings are not complete because I do not have subscriptions to Top Drawer nor Prep Soccer. I just put them in when I could find them publicly available elsewhere. (And the info I did find may be out of date if rankings were updated)

This looks to be a MONSTER class. We landed the top 2 recruits and 5 others with national team experience. It will be interesting to see if anyone reclassifies and I hope we can keep them all.

Let me know any mistakes or adds.

2027 class as they come in:

#2 seed TCU handles Memphis easily 4-0. We will play them on Sunday same field which is their home

TCU is ranked 5th in RPI, so we even get the toughest 2 seed to go along with our already vanquished toughest 3 seed and the 6 seed TT who should have been a 4 seed.

#1 seed Vandy and #4 seed LSU also advance in our region; the TCU/UNC winner will play that game's winner. So no luck in upsets along our path.

and UNC was unseeded, so 33 or lower, lol.

for the record, Texas Tech finished the season 16th in RPI, we were 25th. so both teams got snubbed.

But of our 6 losses, only UGA (#43) and Miami (#83, ugh) were rpi ranked lower than TT
Where did TCU finish?

UNC plays Monday @ 2:00 pm against home-standing TCU, one of four #2 seeds in the field. The Horned Frogs defeated #7 seed Memphis 4-0. TCU is the 5th ranked team in the country.

Three other ACC teams have advanced to the round of 16: #1 seed UVa, #2 seed dook and #3 seed FSU. No.1 seed ND was upset by unseeded Ohio State. The Buckeyes and the Heels are the only unseeded teams among the remaining 16 teams.

The other three ACC teams play Sunday.

Any chance the Damon makes any adjustments to the offense on Monday? Or do we love always forcing the ball to a double teamed Olivia Thomas?

#3 seed FSU beat Lipscomb 1-0 and #2 seed dook beat Kansas 2-0 to advance to the quarterfinals of the women’s NCAA Soccer Championship.

#1 seed UVa tied Washington 1-1, but lost a shootout 4-5.

Admittedly my watching this year has not been incredibly close, but we're starting with Faase up top and Thomas on the wing. Hopefully that helps to limit Thomas's penchant to just run and shoot.

the prgame showed Thomas and Malsom (!?) up top with Faasse and Devey at center mid and Pennie moved out to the wing. We tend to play amorphous with liberal switching but that is a little surprising if accurate

Thomas has played tons more right wing the last third of the season and it has worked pretty well. she is good at getting the cross and seems to be a little more on frame in shots.

I would love to score first. I’m concerned about our energy level if we are chasing all over the field next half.

TCU hasn't impressed me nearly as much as I thought they would, considering the margins of victory in their first two games. They don't have anyone particularly dynamic in the attack. We can win this.

I'm glad Damon put OT back up top. Outside of one nice cross in the first 10 minutes, she was just giving us nothing playing in that wide position where she was having to track back to defend. She's clearly a lifetime forward who has almost zero interest in defending, especially in her own half....and let's face it, she is good at one thing....putting her head down and running at players and trying to score. She's not a great (or willing) passer at all, and just looks disinterested if she's not in the attacking third. As a coach, I get annoyed with that kind of mentality, but it is what it is and we need to use her amazing athleticism in the way that helps us win. Faasse is much better suited to play in that wide position (or even in a midfield role) because she will track back and defend, and she can distribute the ball and retain possession in midfield. OT just needs to play the 9 (center forward) and use her speed...it almost paid off for us with that breakaway, but it was a hell of a save by TCU's keeper.

Pretty impressed that we're 60 minutes into this and Johann hasn't been tested yet. They had one good shot go wide, but otherwise, have not threatened us so far. I don't think TCU is used to chasing the other team (which is better at holding possession) like they are having to today. Hopefully our legs don't give out here down the stretch, this game is there for the taking!

Yup, TCU GK kicked it rather than picked it up and the ball bounces right to Devey wide open in front of the goal. Great effort! 1-0!
