Carrigan lost 1-2 in OT to #6 seed Singleton. Got in on a leg in OT period 3, but could not finish. Great match for the freshman.

In summary we lost 1 match we were seeded to win. If everyone wrestles well that doesn’t cost us much. Need to win matches in the next round. Root gets the next match, wrestling against the #32 seed.

Was a really tough draw for Simcox. That guy Wells has a final 12 and final 16 finish in prior tournaments.

Great job by Hepner. Carrigan really almost had it. Finally, I watched the Terukina match…frustrating that his opponent converted literally his only takedown attempt but Terukina was like 0 for 4 on good shots, including two where he ran out of time.

Hoping for some wins tonight.

I was stuck at work and missed all of the first round, sounds like we were close to it being a better round in several matches, hopefully the guys can wrestle well in their next matches and get some momentum going
