They could opt out if they think they not up to the task and play in the 6A game and maybe win it.
Yours and @stonedlizard are proposing a different idea than is ramblinman. You both want an open class with invites. ramblin wants a new way of classifying based on "how competitive" they are somehow based on regular season scores.

So let's call this a second round game of the super class series.

The score proves nothing of what you imply about ramblinman's suggested model.
The point of his classifications is to get rid of blowouts. So when one of his teams gets blown out its devastating to his proposal.

No one in 6A was going to hang with PR this year. SHG was as good a final representative as you could find in 6A. Sometimes a super team just dominates a particular class. That was the case this year with PR. You just have to tip your cap to them.

You imply that the southern representative can't beat the northern, but what about SHG in 2013 and 2014? What about Rochester six of the last seven years?

teetime, you cannot be happy to be only able to name three schools. I added Flyer.

I don't think anyone is saying that any given team from the south could not beat any given team from the north. Instead, I think it's simply math, facts, and stats that show with more team, larger populations, and a few other factors, you are much more likely to have better teams grouped together in the north...

The CSN announcers don't real know option football.
They don't know the plays by name.

Inside veer...fullback dives at guard
Outside veer...fullback dives at tackle
Midline option...keep calling it quarterback keep
Counter option...guards pull
Rocket sweep

PR runs three different base counters:
- Traditional CO.
- CO where the QB goes 12/6 and then reverse pivots and you see backside G/T pull.
- QB counter.

Not sure I saw Counter Trey that is out of the Rocket Toss look that is an inside counter.

All executed well.

Midline path with WB insert was not available to QB and he still broke one for a score.

There are plenty non-north schools who can compete at their level... Normal has some, Bloomington has slipped but theyre traditionally good. The schools atop the Southwestern and even the middle of the pack ones. Rochester of course. And obviously the smaller classes are dominated by non-Chicagoland schools.

But you want to see 1-32 to hopefully weed out these types of results as much as possible.

IC, Althoff, Rochester, Johnsburg, SHG would all be fine in the open class. Not saying they'd win - but compete.
