Unfortunately… Duke is going to win it all

Let’s not get carried away here!
It's not as farfetched as it sounds. Comparing Kenpom ratings across years isn't 100% apples to apples because the rating is based on whatever the perfectly "average" team is in each given year, but this Duke team is the highest ranked team since 1999.

The key to beating Duke is stopping Malucah. He’s in double figures tonight off lobs from the pick and roll. Force Flagg into shooting tougher shots around the rim and guard the middle pick and roll and you can beat them. I just don’t know if there’s a team in college that has that ability. Coming into the tournament, I thought their inconsistency from three and strength of schedule would be their downfall. I was wrong. I believe they will win it all (I just threw up in my mouth saying that).

They’ve just got the total package. And usually the 3 point line is sometimes a weakness in the tournament for them . But not this year
You would have thought after that crappy thread you started earlier about wanting Carr gone you would have learned your lesson.

But not for you.

You're not a Kentucky fan.

Just think Kentucky was 2-0 this year vs both teams that won today that made the Final 4

Sounds like 2022 as well with KU and UNC. Doesn't matter if u don't make the final four.

And at what point do we admit all the fortune tellers on here saying Duke would get upset early due to a weak acc were FOS? It was probably just wishful thinking.

Many of us never bought that narrative but to many did.

if duke faces michigan state in the final, then yeah, they’re probably winning it.

i think they’ll probably beat houston or tennessee regardless. houston probably have the best defenders to bump with duke on the perimter. i just think duke is going to have them beat in the paint, and it won’t be hard to get houston in that kind of game. they prefer a game in the 60’s or low 70’s. duke gets to the line, they’re probably going to win. crier could be a problem i guess, but he’d have to really go off. idk, i just like duke in that matchup. probably because the style of play i expect from houston, and duke’s size advantage.

if florida or auburn is waiting, though, it wouldn’t be easy to finish it off. auburn was #1 most of the season, and florida was the hottest team to end the season (not named duke). auburn seems to have paced their season well, and are starting to look better and better. florida has kind of hit their ceiling, but clayton has been nba clutch. hard to say who the better suited foe is. for one thing though, clayton junior would probably negate proctor’s offense because of the defensive assignment. anyway, imo, both teams matchup better than the other 3 teams remaining.

duke has the best mismatch probably in flagg. that will be at a premium. if he’s making shots they probably won’t be stopped. both clayton and baker-mazara will be potential issues for duke. love him or hate him, baker-mazara is probably the worst matchup for duke left in the field. crier also.

Matchups matter. I'm not surprised they beat Bama. Im surprised they beat the hell out of them though.

Unsure-think Clayton will have the same trouble Sears had tonight vs Duke.
Clayton gets his shot off way quicker than Sears and is much more athletic. And Florida has a post game that would make it much more difficult to sell out on just guarding the perimeter.

Its the first good team they've faced. Not so fast. Let's see them do it 2 in a row and I'll be worried.

Houston, Auburn or Florida can beat Duke, that’s it

All would be 3.5 pt dogs against CBS favorite team

I said before the game that Duke will beat Bama by 15 plus. I am still not convinced that they are best team . They had the easiest path but we shall see.

Duke played home games all the to FF. Also they had ACC refs in each game. They will crack under pressure players and their young coach.

Clayton could be a problem for Duke, and FL has the bigs to maybe get Maluach in foul trouble. Let’s hope.
Florida is the best equipped to beat Duke. I hope though Duke doesn’t get to final. Safest bet is to have 3 SEC teams in the final four so the crowd is all against Duke.
