THE MISSISSIPPI STATE logo is fine, if for no other reason than it makes announcers think when they are looking at us.

We've been bitching for years on this board about networks calling us mississippi and whatnot. It's time we spelled it out.

And once we go to it, I say stick with it. Of all the color schemes and ideas I've seen thrown around for the past several months, the silver look was far and away most impressive. Don't abandon the maroon helmets totally, but silver needs to be incorporated big time. Especially with A&M joining the league. This is a real opportunity to set ourselves apart to a nice degree.

The new unis are intended to separate us from aTM.

I am all for anything that builds our brand and lets people know who we are.

I've seen ESPN, CBS, etc. call us Mississippi and Ole Miss til I am sick of it. This has been one of the biggest gripes I've seen from Mississippi State fans. I'm glad that we are spelling it out very CLEARLY who we are. The M-State symbol, though fairly obvious if you watch college athletics, apparently wasn't clear enough for the sports media. <div>
