We may suck again this year, but at least we won't look like a SWAC team who bought their unis at Wal-Mart.
Okay, I will go ahead and say it at the risk of getting flamed.
The helmets are worse than the white helmets. I am all for a maroon helmet. But these are not the answer. The maroon is to dark. The maroon facemask makes the dark maroon look worse. For the most part, alternating and contrasting colors look better on helmets. Texas Tech's all black helmets look terrible. Texas A&M helmets look much better since they went back to the white facemask.
Then the final touch, the logo. It is terrible....small, plain, generic...just bad. The old MState was better. With that much maroon, the logo needs to be bigger and add some color or maybe add a white stripe down the middle. </p>

I like the new uniforms. I don't like M-State- and I don't think I ever will- but at least this is tolerable and looks like an athletic logo rather than an academic logo.
I disagree with the too dark comment. I like the color and the fact that it better matches the maroon in our jerseys/pants. I'm not going to say they are worse than the white helmets, but, I do think there is something missing. For you photoshop geniuses, how about somebody slapping some white on the facemask? It also appears that is very little gloss in the paint used on the helmets. I can't really pick it out - but something about the helmets doesn't "pop" - if that makes any sense.Agentdog said:
