No more homey the clown socks! No more GAY looking white cleats! No more white hats. No more weird looking Maroon.

I love the new uniforms. We do look like an SEC team, and a pretty decent one at that. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!

The white tube socks were definitely homely, but they saved our receiver's bacon when he snapped his leg in two against Ole Miss. Kept grass and dirt out of the shattered bone. Maybe long, dark maron (or is that maroon?) socks would be a good compromise.

Not really that tough to keep the dirt and grass out when you are playing on a plastic and rubber field.

But, those plastic and rubber fields have been found to be crawling with bacteria too, such as MRSA. Just sayin' that there could be some benefit to long socks, just not butt ugly white tube socks from Walmart.

Or maybe they should rub Vagasil on their new uniforms. Either way they should be safe from bacteria.

I'm sure we would get a lot of extra press. ;) I have no complaints with the new uniforms. 1000% better than the last 5 years.

did ya'll read whatever i read a while back talking about brandon mcrae's injury and how his "knee highs" may have actually saved his career? apparently they kept all the dirt and grass out of this fracture and kept it clean. tyrone prothro, on the other hand, had ankle socks on when he broke his leg a few years back and the fracture got dirt, grass and whatever else is on the field at Bryant denny.. he wound up having a ridiculous infection.

i meant to try to notice, did 6 have tall socks on saturday?

the field he injured his leg on had neither dirt nor grass on it, maybe not so much.

they had two helmets when Mullen was hired and one had a little more definition than the current one we are using.

though the artificial works better for our playing style, so I'm fine with it.

The only time I hope to ever see powder blues is in a throwback game.

Also your uniforms look like a MAC team.
Even if true, which it isn't, a MAC look would be a big improvement over the SWAC look we've been sporting.

I think what we have is a pretty good combination of a traditional uniform and the "new look" uniforms you see a lot of teams wearing these days.
