someone close to the situation told me bluntly- "we'd have to use the facility improvement money to fire him"- they are having a cash flow problem due to lack of support- people arent giving because of Boone- if they fire Nutts- it will set their facility upgrades timetable back....there are some very unhappy campers in Red and Blue

2? I'm thinking minimum 4. If he makes any changes on the coaching staff he needs to be allowed time to bring in players recruited for his new system.

This is going to be a pretty expensive coaching change for them... with Texas, Texas A&M, Bama, LSU, Auburn, Arky, Florida, Georgia, State, and Vandy on their schedule next season they should just let him stay one more year and then fire him. No reason to bring in a new coach for a guaranteed 8-9 loss season.

Would it be against any rules to raise money for facility improvements if they knew the entire time it was going towards a coaching change?

and sounded a little shady- been telling people they are going to make facility improvements- and now suddenly may use that to buy out the staff? That would probably go over like a lead balloon- no idea as far as rules and such

during the 2 year span that they have Vandy AND Kentucky on the schedule at the same time out of the East.

Setting the dumpster on fire the right way?

I wish there was a way to buy season tickets without giving the money to their Athletic Dept. I have yet to set foot in Oxford but a schedule like that may warrant a few road trips next season...

That's at least 4 OOC losses in the next 7 seasons and a good chance it's more than that. That said, conference realignment and the possibility of the SEC and/or the ACC adding a 9th conference game could mean that some of these contracts for future games may just be mutually cancelled.

and have to deal with Aub, Al, LSU, A&M and even us every year? It is going to take over 3.3 or so to get a name and I doubt a "Mullen type" cord will do it on the cheap. We got lucky with our guy.

$6,000,000to buy him out and $4,000,000 for a new coach. When does Dickie get out?

Where died the "last two hours" come into play here. What could have happened in the last two hours that would have changed things if what you say is true?
