Illinois lost by 53 yesterday.
ND has two losses.
BYU / USC have no comparable win to Arizona State.
Michigan looked worse in their loss to OU than Auburn did.
TCU / Mizzou / GT / Iowa State / OM really don't have a better resume than us. (You could make the case for one game of each of these that they do - but SMU isn't that good, Kansas is bad, Clempson is 1-3, and Tulane is G5.
Hell I can make the case Vandy is overrated beating a bad SCar team w/o their QB.
Bama has nothing but name recognition.

We are 27th and 29th. Look at it in a positive way. More than likely we won't receive any votes after this weekend.
If Notre Dame gets credit for moral victories, we should too, but we won’t. That’s how the poll works. Keep the favored schools hanging around till playoff time. Then continue the narrative of how ****** Mississippi State is. “They haven’t even been ranked!”
Sorry guys, I didn't email any voters and make the case for us this week, like I used to some in the Mullen Era. You may laugh and scoff, but I compared ballots before and after and with some voters, it helped. I can remember us moving from 14th to 12th in a weekend we didn't play and no one in front of us lost.

Henry Greenstein has ASU at 17 and state unranked. I think he still hasn't noticed we won that game.
Good. I don’t want to be ranked. Anytime, we start to get recognition, we don't play as well. Being the underdog is in our DNA.
Or maybe he realizes ASU is probably a little better team than we are. Using this logic UNI should have been ranked ahead of Notre Dame last year.

As long as NIU had a better record than Notre Dame and the head to head win, of course they deserved to be ranked higher.
It's ok, we're 4-0 for only the eighth time in school history and have played well so far this year. That's all that matters. Scratch out 2-3 more wins in the remaining games and we'll all be pretty happy. That probably won't get us ranked by end of year anyway. Just being considered for a top 25 ranking is great to me at this point in the season.
They aren't better than us suddenly two weeks later lol. They almost lost last night too and looked bad the week after us.
Naw, if that happens Tennessee is overrated. But on the positive side, we will probably catapult into 26th & 28thWin the next one and we leap into the top 25.
Unless I'm mistaken, before State beat Arizona State, they were ranked higher than Tennessee is now. Granted, this is an SEC game but you never know.
