I have no opinion about the Rebels' chances this fall, but this article is about betting against the spread. I didn't go over the piece with a fine toothed comb, but it seems the point he's making is Ole Miss plus the points is a great bet this fall. If he gave a prediction of their '08 win-loss record, I overlooked it. This article is about making money.

So did Cutcliffe waste Deuce McAllister and Eli Manning then? He never won a championship. Nutt did win the West with Matt Jones as his QB and he did win the West with McPhadden and Felix Jones in his backfield.

If you consider not winning a title to be wasting talent, then I suggest you go create a list of top notch SEC athletes that never won an SEC title. It'd be quite a long list of players who played under a whole bunch of different coaches.

We each had 4 players selected for preseason All-SEC. However we won those games last year with 2 other players who would have been at least 2nd team selections (and probably 1st team). </p>
