Gurus, it’s Monday, hopefully safe to discuss PC/BR game. I have been very impressed with Provi thus far. Didn’t think 4-0 after 4 games. Now the fun begins. I’m high in the Celtics but not sure the boys have the experience that the returnees from BR have including the bitterness of a 2-7 season on their tongues plus loads of talent.

Let down alert!!!! But Rice wins though by 2 scores. PC has yet to be tested. Rice beat two teams ranked in the top 10. I don’t think it will be 35-3, PC will challenge them and BR is finally playing on the road after 4 straight home games to start the season, but I’ll say 35-21 BR.

The so called ‘one man army’ of the providence O-line, better get some good sleep the night before. Providence is finally gonna get tested. Tough to play at providence but Rice will be too much to handle for 4 quarters. Will be a tale of two halves. Rice pulls away half way through 3rd quarter. Final score Bro Rice 42 Providence 21.

If not 4-0 at this point, who did you have them losing to?

I honestly expected Provi to handle St Rita easier than they did. I think Rice rolls pretty easily in this one. 35-7

I don't know PC was up 12-0 until a few seconds left. Rita at home in a must win for any hope of playoffs had to assume got their best effort.
Great point to take into consideration. The other game of note is Rita’s 7 point victory over DeL

Great point to take into consideration. Certainly an interesting matchup. I can only imagine how geared up Celtic will be for this game at their own venue, and would expect it to be tight early.

Strange things do happen out in New Lenox but this BR team more equipped with a great defense. Before if the high octane offense wasn't clicking had a problem.

I watched the taped replay of BR/LA after the Bears game. All I can say is WOW! Crusaders are big, fast, athletic and focused. Bean reminds me of Hunniford of the 2014 Provi team. Poised and smart. That Fitzgerald kid was all over the field on D. They actually reminded me of recent LA teams that just tremendously gell on both sides of the ball. I know the Celtics will be ready and prepared but it may be a long Friday night. Even if PC plays flawless it will be a daunting challenge to pull out a W.

Does anyone know how many turnovers Rice had in first 3 games? I believe they had 1 last Friday.

Add this to discussion? Although a month ago in the season opener, Providence lead 10-7 until Q3 against Lockport, ultimately winning 38-7. LP held their own on both sides of the ball all game, in spite of sitting at 0-4 presently with other losses to WWS and LWC.

Thanks Woody, but I’m not getting your point. Please expand

Nothing more than throwing a set of facts into the thread. Readers can draw their own take-aways from this info.
10-4. Were you at the PC-Lockport game? 1st half definitely close. 2nd half PC dominated both sides of ball. Just responded to your comments that LP held their own on both sides of the ball. I didn’t see that at all in the 2nd half.

If memory serves correct, BR had 3 turnovers in each of its first 3 games. Definitely was a major concern heading into week 4 vs Rambler. And still will be on the Emerald Isle.

Outside of the three series 3rd quarter span that went PC-TD then LP-INT then PC-TD, I just though the game was more competitive than the score indicated. Good luck this weekend.

SR had the ball inside the 10 about 3-4 times and turned the ball over including at the end of the game with an INT on what would've been a game winning score.

Wish JCA was playing providence this year. Would love to see JCA offense vs providence defense
