This is going to be a very tough stretch for us. I don't know how many teams would perform well missing 2 All SEC caliber starters, but probably not many. Ravern will have to play clutch, and unfortunately, we will have to do well from behind the arc. I mean we are starting Twanny and Benock, who wouldn't be starters on any otherSEC team but ours, Elgin Bailey who still isn't 100 percent, and Kodi Augustus, who routinely thinks he isLebron Jamesand can push the ball up the court and spot up from anywhere. If we get through this 9 game stretch with no losses, I will be amazed.

he and Bryant need to start and either Bost or Bryant needs to be in the game at all times. Having the two of them and Benock coming in to give usa steady sub shouldhave us with a pretty good rotation in the backcourt.

Bost
Bryant
Ravern
Kodi
RSS

That's a top 15 starting five right there...
Kodi is off to a good start, if he has a good year he will get drafted along with Ravern and the RSS.

Once again we shot 50% of our shots from downtown. Good think we hit 10 of 23.... same old song..

Maybe he can get some of Benock's minutes if he's actually a threat to score (at least while we're trying to get through the first 9 games).

but why do I have a bad feeling that Benock is going to start every game this year? (Sigh)

However, I wouldn't expect him to do much more than play defense and make the occasional three. Like many of the guards we have signed lately, Steele can't create his own shot. He is a spot up shooter at this point.

Bryant is decent, but he isn't anything special. He is a solid defender and he rebounds well for his size, but his ball handling his average. I don't think he went left one time tonight. A good defender could force him left. He isn't much of a shooter either. He is better than our other guards, though.

Lewis is the most frustrating person on the team. He is freakishly athletic and can jump out of the gym, but he is somewhat clumsy and can't finish around the rim to save his life.

I thought Kodi played much better than people are giving him credit for. He turned the ball over more than he needed to, but he was having to force the issue on offense. He and Ravern are our only offensive threats at this point. I thought Kodi showed more intensity then he has at any point in his career. He didn't float around the perimeter like usual, and he dominated down low. He just has to stay out of foul trouble.

Until we get Sidney and Bost back, we are going to struggle. We are going to lose some games. People need to realize this.
