Totally disagree, something is gonna happen and it ain't gonna be good. Nationally ul is not liked, they have one likable player (and he may be wearing thin) but that little school is going to get whats coming.
Virginia Tech now has the same issue as Louisville...the other known School is Army...nothing going to really happen except maybe a fine to the Coaches and the school.

I kind of agree that nothing is going to happen. I do believe that the public perception is growing increasingly negative, even worse than it already was. The hooker scandal was bad but people were reporting the story in a neutral way. The jurich comments compared to the Virginia tech press release are what really ticked people off and they went off on jurich.
So now every game Louisville plays, the commentators are going to bring these things up, ecspecially in the upcoming bowl game. And that's what I think is going to be embarrassing for the uofl fans. That is the price they're going to have to pay for jurichs comments which is why I believe fans like yourself are going to grow increasingly angry at these situations. I don't even think a suspension will happen, but this negative publicity has to get extremely frustrating for innocent fans that just want to watch their team play and enjoy success.

Seriously, with (now) a fresh Heisman winner, and sustained strength in football and men's basketball . . . . it just looks like a prime opportunity to turn the next page, and clean house from Jurich down.
Would this be benefiting others who did not build the foundation? Sure it would . . . . but the University might be better able to sustain a foundation built with questionable means by abruptly severing the very causes of both the success and the raised eyebrows.

2. UL has a long track record of scandal. va Tech does not.
3. Petrino earlier claimed that he had no knowledge of this in a press conference. Now UL confirmed that they cheated. Does this mean that Petrino lied to Jurich (again)?

It is the same issue in this particular case...they was provided information towards WF Gameplan...the difference is the VT AD handled it much better...both cases neither school notified WF they had a mole.
Also, this went on for 3 years...nobody said anything and the only reason this came to light was someone at Louisville left play cards in the trash...and WF stumbled onto something that IMO they thought would give them an advantage...amazing
I've already outlined why UL and Va Tech are two different stories within this same story. UL has a history of running afoul of the rules and they will be treated differently than Va Tech. You also have the subplot of Jurich claiming that Petrino didn't know while the rest of the country giggles in amazement that he can say that with a straight face.
Army will handle this much differently than the other schools involved. West Point has a STRICT honor code and they will more than likely fire all those they find were involved.
I've already said I'll be glad when he's gone. I've pointed out his hypocrisy among other things. Not sure what else you want me to say on it. I admit that I do try to take a neutral view and ask has he broken any rules/laws. With Sypher, he did neither. It's not in the NCAA rulebook or any law that you can't sleep with another woman. So even though I don't like it, what am I supposed to do? He made my school look bad. I'm not his boss. I have no control other than to not watch.

See you start getting into grey areas when you apply your set of morals to someone else. Not everyone has the same set of morals, beliefs, whatever you want to call it. That's why I stay out of the Sypher issue. Plus it was in 2003. Ancient history.
I'm very embarrassed by all of the stuff going on NOW.
