Swindle came in and poured gasoline on a burning fire. Whitney pitched a good game but threw too many balls.
He won't get the win courtesy of Swindle's grooved pitches. Renaudo has settled down for lsu after throwing 80
pitches in the first 3 innings.

I'm watching the game in New Orleans on some shoestring production outfit named Jumbo sports. Dumbo sports
would be a better name.

Brought Renaudo back out for the 8th after already throwing 124 pitches.

ETA: As I post it, he pulls him after 1 batter. Bertman would not be impressed. Bertman thinks he still has another 40 pitches in that arm.

forever in my mind be THE worst pitcher to ever wear the maroon and white. I can't honestly even recall the first game where the guy did anything positive.

from fans about doing that though.

I still think the pitch count thing is overdone. How has Whitney looked since that game? Exactly.

The bottom line is some pitchers can throw more pitches than others. You have to trust the staff that they know what they are doing since they know the player. Some guys can throw 100, some can throw 120, and some can throw 150. The first thing I would look at it to see how a pitchers location is. If he's starting to get the ball up, to me that means that he's not getting his arm up, and if he's not getting his arm up, it's probably because he is tired. It also could mean that his mechanics could starting to come apart, along with getting behind in the count, again likely because of fatigue. Also, a drop in velocity would be a sign to me that a pitcher is probably done.

He did shut out La Tech in Jackson in a game where I drove from Kosciousco to Jackson in 40 minutes. I was on an OT school rotation and my clinical intructor got pissed off at one of the OT assistants and was going on a rampage. I was going to ask to leave early, but when I saw he was pissed, I thought better of it. He made me see her patients and I was mainly operating off of fear and adrenaline. He was going Lou Piniella.

I was going to HWY 25 at speeds of well over 100 MPH.

I only missed the National Anthem.

Of course he probably blew 1/2 of his save opportunities and McMahon just kept bringing him out there. If Swindle had that many opportunities he would probably get a few at some point.
