Just saw the trailer for the first time. Very interesting and intriguing if you're a fan of anything having to do with Norse culture. Story of a Berserker who avenges his father's death and mother's capture. From the same director that did The Witch and The Lighthouse, so it's bound to be..... dark. Plus Alexander Skarsgard has needed to do a viking movie for.... ever

And then there are my three historical novels about the Vikings on Amazon. Look under David K. Mullaly and you'll find them.
@DavidM Have you ever read or listened to the audibook of Sea of Trolls? We read it and listened to it several times with our daughter in the day. The other book that I must have read to her over and over was D'Aulaire's Norse Gods & Giants. She loved both of those books.

Nicole Kidman? Odd role for her. Trailer looks great. I’m in.

FWIW, the three titles are

Eadric and the Wolves
Viking Warlord: A Saga of Thorkell the Great
The Viking Woman of Birka.

The first is a revisionist look at an historical English leader who allied himself with the Vikings. The second--the one which would actually reveal the most about the Norse culture--tells a fascinating story about a real Viking leader. The third is a plausible telling of the life of a Viking leader and warrior whose burial was found over 100 years ago, and only recently was proven to have been a woman!

Amazing trailer with a great cast. The director is known for the movie Witch and The Lighthouse. Both amazing films. I'll be checking this one out for sure. I loved the Vikings series all the way through. For those that don't know Netflix has a spinoff series called Valhalla coming out next year. The trailer:

Dye Skarsgard's hair black and make a couple Conan the Barbarian films.

Movie looks great.

Other great historical novels are done by Gary Jennings (if you can find them): Aztec; The Journeyer (Marco Polo) and Raptor (a hermaphrodite wanders the fall of the Roman Empire).

I meant odd role for her, not old. But no, I have not seen her in the Ricardo’s and probably will shy away from it. I guess she’s no longer prime time.

I think she’s an awesome actress but went way overboard on the surgery/Botox. She’s a personal favorite to be honest.

Wasn’t there a poster on the old site who wrote a Viking novel?
It's me! It's me! I've even provided above the titles of the THREE I've published on Amazon. If anybody has questions about any of them, I'd be glad to provide answers.
