West Aurora 2020 quarterback Will Tammaru (6-foot-2, 195 pounds) has started to attract more and more recruiting attention this fall. Tammaru checks in and recaps his recent recruiting news and more here.
"My recruiting has been going well. I am going to Western Michigan this weekend for a game, then Duke the following weekend for a game day visit Miami of Ohio on October 13th."
Tammaru, who's Blackhawks (3-0) are off to a great start this season also recapped his recent spike in his recruiting.
"I've been in contact with a lot of new schools over the past week or so. I have been getting emails from several Ivy League schools along with Minnesota. It's just been a lot of school who are starting to show some interest. I've gotten a lot of game day invites and recruiting letters."
So what has been different this season for Tammaru and the Blackhawks compared to last year?
"I would say that definitely our team chemistry. Everyone is just a big family and we don't play for ourselves we play for each other and we play as a team this season."
So how has Tammaru's game changed so far this season?
"I think that my confidence has gotten a lot better but my entire team has also gotten so much better compared to last year. Everyone is improved so much during the off season it's made me a better player."
Thoughts on Will Tammaru's recruiting: Tammaru is a rare 3 year starting quarterback for West Aurora this season and Tammaru no question has a lot to offer. Tammaru has a really good mix of impressive size and physical tools. Tammaru also has a very good arm with touch and Tammaru is also just a higher level athlete who's a threat with the run and the pass this fall. Look for Tammaru's overall recruiting stock to continue to rise this fall and I can see Tammaru drawing more serious looks and attention from say mid Big Ten level schools along with the Mid American Conference schools.
