Selective enforcement to keep everyone in "their place". Hate to say it but the fairest thing at this point is to just have no recruiting rules and that way everyone is free to do whatever. Not good but a heck of a lot better system than to have rules that one set of schools have to follow while other schools can do whatever they want.

If he only gave cash to players whose eligibility expired after the game then it's not an NCAA violation. Unless there's a specific rule around the venue or something like that.

Those WRs are not seniors, but probably declaring for the draft, so technically they were still eligible at the time.

In my opinion, unless they took off their jersey and told Ogre they quit when the game was over then they were still part of the team and therefore still under NCAA jurisdiction and rules.

^^^^ This. I read where each player whom he gave cash to, was graduating and/or declaring for the NFL draft. But I could see where that could become a "thing". Promise players cash, but only after they've fulfilled their commitment to play. But at that point, if they're worth a damn and headed to the pro's, doe sit really matter to them?

All the people playing tattle tale are really just doing LSU a favor. Recruits LOVE this ****. Same as us perpetuating the rumors of hookers and blow at OM recruiting weekends. Recruits were flocking to OM simply to see if its true.

In my opinion, unless they took off their jersey and told Ogre they quit when the game was over then they were still part of the team and therefore still under NCAA jurisdiction and rules.

a promise to pay at the end of your playing time there could also influence a recruits decision so I don't see how it's legal ...... but then again I don't know crap about those rules
