Take it for what its worth...
http://theattackmachine.wordpress.com/2012/09/11/update-on-the-coming-auburn-story/

Lots of upset Auburn fans over the last 12 hours.
For the first time since I have been on Twitter I have had a concerted effort launched against me to have my account deleted for “spam”. Obviously I am not spamming.
It really is amazing, I have destroyed politicians for 5+ years and have never had this happen.
So… good for you Auburn Family: All In… a tizzy.
Here is what I know as of now.
My original source says a story that includes Cam Newton, Auburn, Mississippi State and financial impropriety is coming this week.
WAPI’s Matt Murphy says there is a story involving Trooper Taylor, which I assume is the Memphis grades issue that is coming tomorrow.
A third source says the following…
From my source in Memphis, the story will hit Friday. He received this information from a prominent national sports reporter.
[...]
It revolves around a student athlete from Memphis and the manner in which Auburn recruited him. He was given transportation to AU for visits by an athletics representative (booster). There are also rumors of him receiving an automobile and him driving around Memphis with AU flags and decals plastered all over the vehicle. Trooper Taylor is said to have been this student athletes primary recruiter.
There is also wide speculation that this athletics representative was the conduit for cash transfers to the Newtons but I wouldn’t give those rumors much credence…then again you may know more on that story than I do.
Believe what you want, question my motives if you will but know I am not just making crap up.
That is lazy… for me to do and for you to claim

This **** is so annoying

Story to be released Wednesday...wait no Friday...wait actually now 2 weeks from now. As much as I hate Auburn, I think this whole Memphis thing is just something reporters are grasping on to for story material. The worst thing is that when these people say stuff like "AUBURN AND MSU IN DEEP ****, THINGS ARE GOING TO GET UGLY IN THE SEC #HASHTAG" they will not have to own up for it after they end up being wrong. They'll just say: "My source who is usually right was fed the wrong info, just reporting what I heard". Twitter and Social Media have almost eradicated responsible journalism.

Yeah, Dale Jackson (who?) and Danny 17ing Sheridan. Color me unimpressed. I'll wait to Barrett Salley jumps into the fray before I get all giggity.

Dale is a sanctimonious prick that has some political connections. I guess it's possible someone in the know is feeding him info.

[h=1]Auburn, Jovon Robinson Reportedly Being Investigated By Multiple Media Outlets[/h]Sep 11 10:48a by Bud Elliott
Read More: Jovon Robinson (RB - Auburn)
Rumors have swirled for more than a week now that multiple media outlets are actively investigating a potential dirty recruiting story in Memphis about the transcript scandal involving Jovon Robinson and Auburn. Tuesday morning, Memphis Commercial Appeal columnist Geoff Calkins confirmed those rumors.
Paul Finebaum
@finebaum
Respected Memphis writer @geoff_calkins reporting multiple outlets working Robinson AU story.

Robinson is the Memphis running back who was admitted to Auburn and then subsequently ruled ineligible after it was found that his transcripts were falsified by a guidance counselor.
The question, of course, then became one of Auburn's involvement, if any.
And with many media outlets in town, there is a worry that one outlet will run the story before it has all the facts, causing the key figures in the story to clam up before saying all they have to say to the other outlets still working the story.
Memphis has a reputation as a dirty recruiting area. Fans of Arkansas, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss and Tennessee all regularly accuse the others of buying players from the area. And Alabama was caught doing so in the Albert Means case.

Exactly redbird.

I have been joked with and heard sports talk shows repeat, as if it was fact, that Mississippi State bought dude a Mustang. All because some richard in Possum Town said he heard this from a "source".

Now you have this guy and his source....."Tomorow........no Wednesday.....no Friday."

They should all just learn from Ole Miss and adopt them. It's the legal way to give them everything. Just do it.

Hey now .. that story did not originate in Possumtown (Columbus). Don't be trashing all the Bama fans in the Columbus city.
