Update on September 3 Downtown Block Party

The streets will be blocked off from 6-9 with a stage set up on the Mugshots/Restaurant Tyler end of Main Street. Jeff Cummings and Jeffery Rupp will be playing with Bill Cooke closing the show. The city is not allowing alcohol on the streets for this so called block party, obviously they really care about the restaurants and bars downtown because without selling alcohol and blocking off the street taking up all of the parking what are they to do?</p>

People could buy alcohol at those. Obviously if they are hungry they will walk inside somewhere and eat. I think a lot more people would go if they allowed alcohol.

Have about 5 guys walking around with kegs and pumps strapped on their backs. Have an "escort" (pretty lady friend) walking with them with cups and change! Boo-Yaa....alcohol flows!<div>
