Georgia's been a struggling club and of course, it's baseball and anything could happen but we've got a real opportunity to climb a few games over the .500 mark in the league if we can win tomorrow and take 2 next week. I stress the importance of that because Fla and at Ark is lying in wait after Georgia. We need to stock pile some wins while we can. It's still too early to tell who we should beat in the league and who we can count on to beat but I'd say Georgia's our best bet seeing that Kentucky isn't on the schedule. </p>

We need to find a way to win one against the ultimate elite (Vanderbilt, Florida, South Carolina for example)

Then we need to win the series at home against the above average (Auburn for example)

On the road, we need to find a way to win either the Georgia series, the Tennessee series or the Ole Miss series (basically we need at least 4-5, preferably 5-4)

I agree. If we can keep from getting sweeped by those three, steal one series or two on the road and win the other home series we will see post season play even if we do not make the SEC tourney,.

They have to be better than their record- they've beat UCLA and Florida State. But they're still someone that we can beat.

Georgia has an ace on Friday night in Alex Wood he beat South Carolina 4-2 and UCLA in Los Angeles 6-2 he lost to LSU this Friday but had a strong outing and lost because of unearned runs. If we can get a W on Friday I think our whole weekend could turn out the way we need it to next weekend.

heard he was pretty good, but I know nothing else about the rest of their weekend staff, but of course you know Georgia has some talent.

He is their saturday starter, and has good stats. Of course, any decent pitcher should have good stats at this point in the season. We won the series last year because we destroyed their bullpen.

with Devin Jones. He has now thrown 6.1 innings in 2 SEC games. He's given up 11 hits, 10 ER and thrown 3 wild pitches.

Routt's recovery is a huge factor in this season.

what Daryl Norris could do as a starter. If Devin continues to freak out, we could possibly go with a rotation of Stratton, Routt, and Norris.

I would give Devin two more starts- normally I would give him one except that I don't think Routt will be quite up to 100 pitches before then- and if he screws up again, time to sit.
