Third, WRT the field, I have NO problem with a grass field that is constructed in a way to perform and that is maintained. The field at MCC was neither, the grass was long which I can certainly understand and live with but before the game was even started you could hardly see most of the OB lines, none of the Hash marks, and the yard markers were very light. If you don't have a field that can shed water with proper drainage for play and safety it should either be reengineered to do so or be replaced with turf. I've often said there are few schools who can truly afford to have a grass field...MCC it's time for turf, it's far more cost effective over the long haul and brings safety and playability across all your sports...this field is trashed for the remainder of the season.

Marian Catholic next week and the fun starts.
A solid Benet team, a hot date in Joliet, a very good Marist team and a game to heal before the playoffs.
8-1, 7-2, 6-3 or 5-4 ..... where do they finish?
Welcome to my world (at least since the mid-90's to 4 years ago) MCC is aware of the field conditions, the lighting, the fact that many of the teams have a 2 hour plus bus ride in rush hour traffic on a Friday night to get to Woodstock, the reputation (earned or not) of the refs. That is all part of the MCC experience. As far as MCC is concerned having Chicago area teams play at MCC on a Friday night at their field is a feature and not a bug.
I'm equally interested in knowing how good is mcc. This victory was IMO, their most impressive: 21-14 over crystal lake south; 28-18 over mchenry; 56-16 over marian catholic.

I'm interested to see how this impacts the DSR relative to MCC. Will gooms rank a 4-0 MCC after they beat his #2? Will any voters rank Naz without ranking MCC above?
Last year's Naz team wins this game. Put simply this year's naz team not as good as last year's. We are starting to see the difference.it will be fun to see how Naz responds. Fist loss in a season and a half. Personally, I think going undefeated is overrated these days. too many good teams. that said, the tough part of naz's schedule lays ahead.

I guess we find out next week in Joliet. Happy this game is at home for the Hill.
Dont forget about the MCC fans how special they are as well.Welcome to my world (at least since the mid-90's to 4 years ago) MCC is aware of the field conditions, the lighting, the fact that many of the teams have a 2 hour plus bus ride in rush hour traffic on a Friday night to get to Woodstock, the reputation (earned or not) of the refs.
