According to one of the Board of Trustees and a source inside the Athletic Department has both confirmed that both Swarbrick and Jenkins have put a package together to lure Urban Meyer back to South Bend. Here are the main details that are on the table as of yesterday: > > 1.) A 10-year $50,000,000 base salary, which doesn't include endorsement and university incentives. > > 2.) 3 "special" projects a year, which may include JUCO transfers. > > 3.) A contract with Nike (football only) > > 4.) Additional incentives: > > (a) $550,000 for Top 10 Finish > (b) $750,000 for BCS Bowl appearance > (c) $1.2 million for BCS National Championship > (d) $400,000 for 90% or better graduation rate' http://tonybasilio.com/index.php?page=tony

Even for a rumor, that is some pretty detailed information to be coming out especially considering Weis hasn't even been fired yet.

The folks in Florida are starting to get the reality that Notre Dame is coming for 'Corch Meyers'. Look, the guy can 'Corch'. And put yourself in ND's shoes. They need a guy who can recruit and a guy who can 'Corch'. This is a post from Florida's Rivals Site. Look at the detail and tone of this. Hillarious times. Awesome.

Leak something so over the top that Florida and Meyer(sp?) must address it, thus creating tension with his players.

This may be my favorite part of this pile of horseshit. A national championship carries thrice the importance of graduating 90% of players (as if he would be around 4-5 years to see it).

At least they put a value on things instead of living the hypocrisy.

I know there was an article a couple years ago in which Meyer's agent said that he really didn't expect him to be at Florida in five years

You can bet this search/hire will be highly scrutinized with a proven AA coordinator in a successful program right there.

I'm not sure Meyer would want to leave Florida. Saben seems to be a little more open to moving just for the money, and he has proven he can do the job of coming into a place with great tradition + money and turn it around to NC contention.

Those are the only justifiable hires out there you would think.

gotta throw in harbaugh from stanford, though if he's going anywhere it would be michigan (alum). if iowa finishes stong kirk ferentz may also enter the picture, iowa is as tough a place to win as believe it or not, MSU.
