give me a couple/three picks for US Open this week, the why is up to you.

-Kucher-fairways and greens/good putter on any greens.
-Mcelroy-has he got his head and game out of the crapper yet? the boy has eons of talent maybe he needs a big challenge to motive himself.
-Fowler-can be really good, or really careless. can his putter be good enough

I somehow have a feeling phil will be really motivated and in good frame this week. If he can hit enough fairways he could be tough to beat.

I think McIlroy's problem is a certain female tennis player ... he's thinking about her too much instead of playing golf. But I think he'll come through this week. So I would say those with a good chance include

-McIlroy
-Phil
-Tiger
-some dark horse, like Lehmen

said that the rough is not that penal to him...so he is hitting driver everywhere. You know what he can do when he gets in a groove with that driver....see congressional last year. Apparently ESPN and the Golf Channel think Tiger woods is the only one playing in the tournament. Here's hoping he misses the cut and we can watch the US open in peace.

Would love to see ole Ricky Fowler win it...that could really turn that boy out. he has all the talent in the world...he just doesn't know it.

the hair and the outfits make me root for someone to just go up to him and turn his lights out one good time. It would be totally wrong, but I'd love to see that f'n orange flat brim *** hat flying into a green side cat box. By all accounts, though, he's a good guy who appreciates the game and is not too full of himself.

Because the sooner that lame, boring-*** Scottish excuse for a "sport" fades from popularity on our shores, the better.

I can actually understand rooting for foreigners over Americans in individual sports, but not in a team sport or in a competition when they're playing for the USA. For example, I never root for either of the Williams sisters to win, unless they're playing Fed Cup or the Olympics.

you know he is a california kid like mahan and former motorcross guy. I think he had a career in racing motorcycles if he didn't golf. Maybe it is a california thing. Mahan wears those flat bill caps too. If you notice there are usually tons of kids in the crowd with nothing but puma on. Fowlers orange is an Oklahoma state thing.

Although I'm not sure the course favors a lefty since it calls for a lot of left to right shots. Bubba can pretty much do anything with the ball, so I imagine he can figure out a high draw.

I'm not suggesting everyone should be stale and dress like Davis Love, but there's definitely a line between "being fashionable" and "attention-*****/douche" that he's obviously crossed...

Anyhow, I watched an interview with him the other day on the Golf Channel. He seems like a good guy and has his head on straight for being young and loaded, but it's pretty apparent the corporate world has sucked him in. He was saying things like "have to protect my brand", etc. I'm not fully convinced he would choose to dress like that all the time, but think it's his handlers/sponsors forcing him to do it. It works, too. Just look at the gallery and you'll see countless kids wearing Puma stuff and trying to look like him...
