These polls really are a joke, and we should probably quit referring to them.
Always better than not being ranked......Everybody looks at polls.....Nebraska showing up on them consistently is a step in the right direction.
That's exactly the problem with them. Just look at the SEC circlejerk that happens every August. Despite what happened this season, I'm sure you'll have 10 teams from the SEC in the "top 25" again next preseason because they have all "reloaded." I mean how long was Ole Miss in the top 25 this year with all their losses? It was a total joke.
We aren't ranked in the College Football Playoff Rankings...that is what is alarming.

Well hell, Tennessee was they must have had a great week of practice at 8-4 losing to South Carloina and Vandy at season end.
They missed the memo about all the ranked teams we would easily handle.
So tell me where you would rank these teams....

Louisville
Florida State
Oklahoma
Actually, aside from determining the top 4 teams for the playoff, the College Football Playoff rankings don't mean any more than the other polls. They don't even do a post-bowl poll.
