As much as I hope I'm way off base, I see England winning 2-0. I think England is better organized overall and I don't think our backline is going to be able to handle Rooney. I also think their midfield is going to stifle our midfield, especially if Ricado "clubfoot" Clark starts.

I agree with the predictions of a late goal. This just feels like a game we'll piss away.

England will be out to destroy us, and they will not be surprised by anything we do. I think we will try to sit back and survive while Lampard and Gerrard rain shots on us form outside the 18. I will consider losing by only one goal to be a small victory in this one. Our ability to score on Slovenia will decide whether we advance.</div>

I think England wins 2-1.
I don't think their team is that great right now, but Bradley's coaching style confuses the hell out of me.

I have no idea why Ricardo Clark gets playing time over Torres in the midfield. And jonathan spector
on defense is scary bad.

People bash baseball all the time... and I could honestly care less, even though it's my favorite sport. Baseball is a slow game and requires lots of patience and I'm ok with that. I understand why people say it's boring...

But if you crack a joke about soccer, you'reurged to not talk for the rest of your life... I don't get it?

i don't watch overly much of the usmt so i can't offer much there (or anywhere else, for that matter). i think england has the firepower to exploit our shaky defense, i think the england defense is only a bit less shaky and should let in at least one.

if i had to call the usmt as a whole, i'd see us advancing to the round of 16 and losing to germany.

Every baseball thread on this board isn't ruined by dipshits. This is going to be a World Cup heavy board for about a month, so deal with it, don't log on, don't read, post in other threads. Don't be the dubmass that has to make sure everyone knows he doesn't like soccer in every 17ing thread, much less a prediction thread that you could have easily passed over. But no, you had to be first in line to let the us know how boring you think it is. And before you ask, yes, dumb posts like yours irk me no matter what the topic.

They DON'T bash baseball all the time. In a quick survey of the front two pages, there are 7 threads about baseball, and NOT ONE of them has a derogatory reply.

Please show me the threads on here where people say baseball is boring. If you don't like soccer then don't read the threads its that simple. Just like the 5000 Stansbury threads of the same thing. Just don't read them.

but I don't watch many games(maybe one a week)...because it's too slow for me.

I don't ruin threads about baseball and, in fact, I have started a few.

What's ridiculous about this board is that when a golf tournament starts, the board all of the sudden becomes a non-sports board. I would think DS would censor that like he censors political talk.

Relax guys, I don't like soccer. No if, ands, or buts about it... but I'll definitely be pulling for the USA to win. I actually might even try to watch more than 2 minutes of a game in this world cup too.

England score a stoppage goal to make a tight fixture look easier than it was. Rooney gets a goal and a yellow. Bottom line- Fabio Capello > Bob Bradley
