I think we're looking at a 1-1 draw type game tonight;

Is it the top 2 or 3 teams that qualify? If it's the top 3......Mexico, US, and Canada are decently in the lead......with Mexico being nicely in front. I know that Mexico/US don't really like it other much, but is there is a chance that both teams could waiver on full "winning" effort today and just play for a draw?

It is Top 3 with the 4th place team playing in a one game playoff against what I think is an Asian team.

I'd take a tie tonight.

Mexico is better technically and tactially. No clue how Berhalter fluked into beating them in the Nation's League and Gold Gup.

Twice you’re lucky 3x you’re good. We ll see tonight but I think labeling those games as a fluke is inaccurate.

usa actually matches up very well with Mexico. I’m not jumping to any conclusions on personelle but do not sleep on Sam vines. We’ll see what berhalters strategy is tonight but I know for sure he’s not pulling the strings on. He’s coaching what he’s given and told who yo play. He’s doing what he’s directed to do. US soccer believes qualifying won’t be a problem for 2022 and they are going to use this time from now until the end in Qatar to built for 2026. That is the primary goal.

So why didn’t Polisic play more? I don’t understand the reasons why these guys don’t play on USMNT games.

CP just coming back off injury. Played last weekend some for Chelsea for first time since Sept. Bringing him back gradually both there & for us. Reyna injured too.

But don't know who "these guys" are. Euro-based Steffen/McKinnie/Adams/Weah/Yedlin all played most/all of the game.

Anyone understand why US cable networks don't pay these little Central America and Carib countries enough to televise WC qualifying matches vs. needing to stream?

RE USA-MEX: Wasnt that cold if you layered up. But we stood the whole match, didnt even notice the temperature until halftime. All the seats were covered, so rain wasnt a problem during the game.

Deafening atmosphere, one of my top 3 most electric events Ive been to, which include NFL and NBA playoffs, European Champions League, college football bowls, and later round NCAA BB games.

Game was even for about first 10, MEX was better for next 15 (Thanks in large part to bad giveaways- thank you Steffen!), evened out for the next 10, and the US started turning the tide late in the first. in the second half, it was all USA. The pressing and the forcing of the action the whole night, which normally goes in reverse, paid off for the US. An absolute comprehensive, deserved result.

Good question, wondered that myself. Nonetheless, I'm happy to stream it if it means I get to see more of Kate Abdo. :)

CONCACAF awarded all the English language rights to some media organization, with the exception of
the US deals for home matches with ESPN (and Spanish language Univision), and all of Mexico's matches with TV Azteca in Mexico. That organization then turned around and sold all of the US English language rights for the rest of the teams/countries to CBS Sports, and the Spanish rights to NBC/Telemundo/Universo.

US @ Mexico will be on cable on March 24, probably on CBS Sports Net.
