I'm happy for the kids that got the mention, but you really have to question the effort and sincerity of the the reporter(s). This is nothing more than a utilitarian effort directed to Virginian readership.
But truthfully, how could we expect anything else. They are a national newspaper that could not possibly dedicate time to properly researching "all state" level players. They would have been better served partnering with someone like Rivals and offering a meaningful team.

Most of the selections are based on ratings and next level players. Not really a bad way to go. The selections are all good players. And as a reminder, all it gets a kid is his name in the paper for a day. It has nothing whatsoever to do with his future.
