Tanner Lee ranked #3 QB, Tyjon makes the newcomer list, Stan the Man is USA Today pre-season All-B1G. Badgers are picked for a big season, 11-1.

They are also picking Penn St or Michigan to lose to someone else other than each other or Ohio St

Who knows if they have penciled in specific wins and losses. But given NU's schedule and predicted win/loss record, they predict a loss in Eugene. The three losses in conference are likely to the Badgers, Ped St and tOSU. It would seem based on the Badgers schedule that they have them losing to Michigan, with the Wolverines losing to Ped St and tOSU.

the number 1# problem Nebraska needs this year is the pro's wanting tanner lee to leave early to the pro's....
this is a problem I wish to embrace with both arms.
fully and unconditionally.

Well considering they have OSU with zero losses and Penn St and Michigan with 2 losses, they are projecting both to lose to Ohio St and 1 game to each other. One of the 2 will have to lose a second conference game to get to 2 losses.

The pros want him to leave now and he hasn't even taken a game snap yet.

I saw an article the other day naming him as a reason this might be the best CFB QB draft class ever in terms of depth (along with several other hyped up QBs).

What Tanner Lee does on the field for us has almost no linkage to his pro potential. The NFL just cares that he can "make all the throws" and is upright, they'll fix whatever else needs fixin'...later.

if... he is an NFL talent, the above may be a factor as to why he would stay an extra year at Nebraska. He may improve his draft stock simply by the fact that the QBs eligible or declaring for the draft might be more watered down after his senior year than junior year. He could improve from a 4th round prospect to a 2nd round prospect even if his overall ability didn't improve.

Kinda like Kizar or whatever the heck the kid from Notre Dame's name is. He looked pretty darned good last night but part of that was his ability to tuck it and run.

I'm hoping for better but I suspect 4 losses is not an unrealistic expectation. We'll probably win one we shouldn't based on our talent and lose one we shouldn't.

Indeed. But if there is a Diaco effect, we may not drop one of our "win' games. But sans Diaco effect, Northwestern and Iowa become tossups and 5 losses comes into view.

well, if he can't hit a pass for us, the d may key on him and hurt him and that will effect his nfl draw...so lets hope he hits passes and has defensive coordinators throwing their head sets on the ground, and then he can go into the nfl healthy. :)
