Should be at least a top 25 showdown when we head to Baton Rouge.

Big game for Mullen's career. Bigger game for Msstate football.

No major gripes.

I will say, I don't think the average college fan realizes how good Marshall is going to be this year. Rakeem Cato is a beast.

Obviously not national championship good, but I think they could have Boise State level success this year.

Not only 7 SEC teams, but

2. Alabama
5. Auburn
13. LSU
19. Ole Miss
20. Texas A&M

With us at #29. Granted these are only preseason, but it never gets easier for any of us in the West. Meanwhile, FSU has only #16 Clemson in their division.

Of the SEC schools, the only one that make me pause a little is TAMU at #20. They lose Manziel, Evans, Molina, a lineman or two and had a horrible defense. The coaches must believe in Sumlin's system. I think they struggle a good bit this season.

They just discussed this a bit on SVP. Two of the guests (Danny Kanell and Brad Roberts ? I think) both felt that MSU was likely the better team, and should be ranked higher than Miss. Thought that both could be spoiler and help shape the west, but probably not more. They thought that we had better depth, but less big names. Man College football and sports in general is so much more fun when MSU is even remotely relevant. Nice to hear our name even mentioned on a national show.

A lineman = #6 overall pick in the draft, ahead of either Evans or JFF.

If they lose their first game @USCe they're out and will possibly stay out. They've lost multiple defensive players through off the field incidents, including their defensive MVP from last year. But defense was only a rumor last year.

Defensive MVP at A&M is like the tallest midget award.

aTm's talent level now is higher than when Sumlin got there. Their soph/junior classes should be loaded
