Well there you have it. This first to speak up in the POY debate in an official capacity.

Again, I realize the case that can be made for Love and Lees (based on 1st hand knowledge and having viewed all the film) but Sam can claim a 14-0 state tile and numerous playoff records along the way. His 47 TDs look to be the 7th highest total in state history across all classes. And those 47 TDs came as a returning all-state runner that was the focus of every defense, all year. Sure he missed the 2k mark that was predicted, but not by much. Consider that he had only 850 yards in the regular season, his 1,065 yards in the playoffs are astonishing.

Cheers to Sammy Brods. It was a pleasure watching him this year

Congrats to Brods! What a beast! Any other Brodners coming through the program?

We are trying to talk his sister into playing next year, but she is focusing on volleyball where she was the only soph to start for the State 4A Runner Up GW Lady Hitters.

While I do thing Brodner is the POY, he is not the first to be named so. The Sun-Times picked Love
