pull their offers to Renardo is now the feature story on the Yahoo front page. Any pub is good pub, I suppose.

Of course it included the obligatory shot at the Dogs:

Since when do big power forwards with versatile perimeter games choose Starkville -- and no offense, MSU, but we all know it's true -- over places like USC and UCLA? What made the Bulldogs so appealing?

When, in fact, State has an equal or better (probably better) basketball reputation and history among those in the know. Of course, I wouldn't expect an author pandering to a crowd to be objective. Gosh that crap pisses me off...

Someone inform him of Bender, Outlaw, and Ellis please.

Three players recruited by Rick went to the NBA, now he's dialed it down a notch and recruited two players possibly on the verge of playing in the NBA. There's talent in between great college players and maybe NFL players, but it comes with a little bit of controversy, so what! I for one applaud his efforts!!

that's very important information. Everyone in the counrty wants to know why anyone would ever choose to come to pathetic little mississippi state. It's relevant information. Sells newspapers. Isn't that what they are supposed to do?

UCLA says enough. I can't remember how many nc's UCLA has, but its a lot. I think that may have had more people turning their heads...

or blogger whatever the case. Everyone in the country is thinking about the Dontae Jones similarities. He's just doing his job. It's relevant.

MSU = field of cow pies next to cotton field

This is the view those on the west coast and northeast have.

Asked why they use Dontae as an example when Stans wasn't the head coach. Just thought it made their argument even that more stupid. Also curious as to why Bush and Mayo weren't brought up in this article.

because the article isn't about Tim "I'll give a 14 year old a scholarship" Floyd and teflon-coated USC looking shady for wanting Sidney, it's about MSU looking shady because OMG! Stansbury! Ms. Winners!, 36 hrs!. etc.

And by "dialed it down" you are in some cryptic way referring to how the NBA won't let players go straight from High School to the pros right? Cause you seem to be saying that in some way Stans changed how he recruits or that Sydney wouldn't be able to go directly to the NBA if that were available and I believe both of those to be false. (Not claiming he's a first round pick, just saying he could go)

To be fair, that's the view most of us here have as well.
