Can't believe this is the best that USC can do. Top 5 job without a doubt and they go to a coordinator with no HC experience? Hell, they had Orgeron before who actually did have HC experience, why not keep him instead of Sark and now Helton? Pat Haden is quite possibly even worse than Barnhart.

Helton was interim once before, won some games including a bowl I think. He's well liked by players and alums. This has been rumored for weeks.

^Took over a team that went 3-3.....with no signature wins. Since he took over, they've gone 5-1....beating #3 Utah and #22 UCLA. Now they are 1 win away from going to the Rose Bowl. It's not a splashy hire, but he certainly has got them playing much better.
