First of all, I want to thank all the young ladies on this basketball team. They were regular season co-champions of the SEC, SEC tournament champions and went on to the final 4 championship game. No one likes to lose but to be honest UCONN was the better team, and you have to tip your hat to UCONN. With that being said I still feel confident about next year's team. We lose Bre Hall, Te Hina Pao Pao and Senia Fagin. We have two five-star recruits coming in. I still believe in Dawn Staley and her coaching staff. I have no idea who Dawn will bring in from the transfer portal. I do know we need a true center. Chloe Kitts played really hard and did really well. Dawn did say there were some things in the works. Just have to wait and see who Dawn brings in. Lastly Raven Johnson is nothing but a winner. I know she will be sitting down with her parents, talking to WNBA people and then make a decision that is best for her. Hope she returns but if she decides to go pro, I wish her only the best. I know everyone is disappointed but being in the Gamecock Club for over 40 years I remember before Dawn took over, we had some bad women's basketball teams that defined "bad". As Paul Harvey would say you know the rest of the story. Again "thanks" to all these young ladies who represented the Garnet and Black with class. "Thank you" to Dawn Staley and her staff. Wish the best for Winston as he moves on in his career to be the women's basketball coach at Grand Canyon.

This team was loaded with good players but we didn't have the star as we did in years past. I always thought our best team was the year the tourney was cancelled because of the pandemic. UConn was the better team twice. Women's basketball is getter better with better competition.

Competition is definitely getting better in Women's basketball, but I think it thins out a little bit at the top next. I see us, UCLA, and UConn as the cream. Texas probably a Tier below and LSU is always a Wild Card as they are going to get something out of the portal and they had a good recruiting year this cycle.

Understand that the young woman from FSU is in the barn.
Saw that. Could change the whole dynamic on the team. Led the nation in scoring with over 25 pts a game. Hope it doesn't change the dynamic in a bad way like it did with Tea Cooper.

Unlike Tea, Raven, Milaysia and Swatkins have all played w this lady. Fit seems very ideal

I don't see how it can be anything but a plus. We suffered from diminished offensive dynamism from last year. It surprised and disappointed me that what a couple of our guards gave us last year was far less evident this year.
