Who wants it?

Oklahoma? They are certainly a favorite. 9-1 in their last 10.
Miami? They lost to Duke tonight.
Auburn?
Arkansas?
Mississippi State? 8-2 in their last 10 and poised to win the SEC West.

Remember this - the SEC West champion has hosted every year since the bracket went to 16 regionals.

That I can see. Ark is the only West team that has a chance to host.

I hope we do, don't get me wrong..

And Rice wins, it wouldn't totally shock me if we hosted. Plus, we are going to put in a better bid and we have history- drawing huge crowds in particular. That would be a compelling arguement for me. Not to mention we beat USM head to head on the field.

The SEC West champion has also never had 15conference losses. However, if the SEC West champion or Georgia doesn't host, then the SEC gets only 3 regionals. I think if Arkansas sweeps tomorrow, they host. They may even host with a split. I think MSU, Bama, Auburn, and UM would have to have a real strong run in the SECT to even have a chance to host.

agree with all this except UM. no chance they host I don't care if they sweep today and win the SECT. Ark prob hosts with a sweep today though I agree 100%.

There will only be 3 SEC regionals with an outside chance at Arkansas hosting. The guy on SEBaseball said the SEC had 3 good teams and a bunch of 'undeserving' teams a while back. If Ark loses today there will only be 3 ranked SEC teams in the polls I believe, assuming Ark falls out.

...Miss State wins today vs. LSU, then makes a run to the SECT championship game where they won 2 games vs. any combination of the USC/Vandy/UF trifecta, then MSU will host a regional.
