That Mexico/Uruguay game was one of the funnest games ive watched in a while.... complete pandemonium when they scored that 2nd goal...
Can/will USA win tonight?
A team of the best USA-born baseball players would dominate a team of players from the rest of the world combined.
Only if you intend to eventually make a relevant point. Nothing you have said addresses the basic fact to which I was responding, a misguided comparison between the status of baseball and soccer in the Us:
The US dominates the world in baseball talent whether or not they win some silly exhibition dreamed up by MLB to try to increase international TV revenues. And the US is a distant afterthought in soccer, with roughly the same amount of overall talent as countries like Paraguay and Costa Rica.
Eh, let's move on. Soccer is growing in the US and will surpass baseball in fans in the next 10-20 years. It's inevitable and I'm a huge baseball fan.
And a lot of that simply due to the rapidly changing demographics of this country. The two Mexico games have shown just how much of a massive following the sport has for Hispanics. Two massive sellouts against Uruguay and Jamaica.
Watching the Euros on ESPN. Ian Darke makes it sound like a big event. Much more "big league" feel than what you get from Fox's coverage of the Copa.
The 2 best position players in baseball are American. Don't see how this can be argued. Not even close for #3.
Wow....2 players......
Agreed, I've been disappointed with most of the Fox announcing teams.
Nice having EURO start. Able to sit on the couch & have a cup of coffee during the game.
Bale just scored a great goal on a free kick for Wales.
