She's a UT grad and former basketball manager.
I guess Tennessee's satisfied that she's qualified for the job.
It happens all the time in college sports.
I just wonder what would happen if little brother were to de-commit.?

I know for the vast majority of Kentucky fans, Louisville is the most hated program.

But for us UK fans who live closer to Knoxville than Louisville/Lexington, Tennessee is pure evil.

The level of corruption in that program is staggering. And has gone on for decades.

And I have a bridge in NYC for sale. :sunglasses:

How big is that bridge, I might be interested. I have a crick in the back, no, not that kind of crick, one that runs across the back of my property, I hope it isn't too big. How about delivery?

And I am sure she is qualified to be the AD there, she should be smarter than the one that said athletes are treated like all other students when it hasn't been that long ago that the EIGHT THUGS that kicked TWO men while down sending one to the hospital with a concussion didn't even get a parking ticket. And he did "resign" shortly after that, shouldn't she get that position, surely she is smarter than that.

i claim discrimination. Why didn't they hire his mother, his sister already had a job. Clearly age discrimination, and while his mother may not have had a very good resume you are never too old to learn.

But this was a real bargain, although it pales in comparison to the few million of taxpayers money they used to buy off the rape victims, haven't heard a squeak about that since the buyout.

He comes from a wealthy school in Jackson, and his mother died when he was younger

100%

I live in Jamestown about an hour and a half from Knoxville. I would root for Taliban university before UT.

That being said i was TERRIFIED they were going to have a 11 or 12 win season this year...watching them implode and watching the UT faithful squirm has been wonderful.

If you have to explain something like this, then I suspect there is some "guilt". Go Cats!!

The fans are on Butch big time after this years debacle....In a year when the SEC east was at an all time low UT couldnt win it....UT will never pass Florida or Georgia in the east now....the only way for Butch to win is to cheat....they will be on probation in 2 years....desperate times call for desperate measures....imagine if Calipari hired a recruits sister for his secretary......

Well Calipari did hire Milt Wagner the year before Milt's son went to Memphis. However he sure wasn't the first coach to hire someone close to a recruit and I am sure another coach will do it in the future.

Weve seen a lot worse than this. This woman does have some credentials to at least justify hiring her. If she didnt have a 5 brother would they...who knows. This happens everywhere so i dont really think its much of a story

Get over it. Happens everywhere. Sometimes it's outright dirty, sometimes it's perfectly fine, sometimes it's shades of gray. Drake Jackson's family catering all the UK meals is probably no better or worse than hiring the qualified applicant who happens to be the sister of a top recruit. If they hired her as a HS drop out off the check out line at Kroger, you'd have a case.

And he kept him on staff for 3 years after Dajuan went pro.

Whatever happened to Shabaka Lands?

Haven't they been doing that for years? How do you think he got so big?

Its something that's done all over the country in multiple sports. Why do you think some football programs have 35+ former hs coaches in some kind of support position on their staff? Its a coaches job to do everything he can within the rules to recruit a kid, just so happens this guy's sister was a UT alumni which didn't hurt them and met the qualifications for the job she was hired to do. Was she the most qualified, maybe not but my guess is the other applicants didn't have a 5* brother and if hiring someone else had cost me the kid I would probably be upset with the hire.
