Yeah he must not be comfortable with his 40 time.
He's a good cornerback. Id draft him. The guy has a cool name for a cornerback.
Valentine is a star name for cornerback if I ever heard one.
I don't know why but sometimes the name plays A part...in stardom.

I think you're right about not liking his current 40. Michigan had a blazing dude that ran 4.2 something. Ringo from Georgia and many others ran 4.3.

It's a db group that's athletic as hell. For context, valentine 39" vert was only 8th best. That's pretty crazy

He may have made a big mistake. Doesn't look like his extra training time paid off. I'm kind of wondering what he WAS doing over the last 2 years that he's not performing as well as some of these other DBs.

Love the kid as a Wildcat, and he played well for us here, but why has he not added more speed and strength at UK?

He’s not the most athletic CB out there. Probably best he didn’t run

The form on his vert looked really suspect. It didn't look like he really trained at all.

Don't get me wrong, 39" is pretty good but the form was atrocious. He probably could get 42" or more with proper training. His poor decision making in training is literally costing him a small fortune

Literally tested in the elite range in the explosion category according to RAS. Plus has good size. Id bet he runs and runs well at pro day. He's never been a 4.3 4.4 guy and unless you are it doesn't make sense to run at the combine IMO

Ringo has always had lots of speed, he is a little stiff for a corner, but a big CB. But 3-4 years ago UGA had a CB taken early first round who ran 4.5+. Just depends on what a team likes.

...and football people know game speed is different than just running a 40yd sprint.
