We got some shots they couldn’t hack us on and we make them, imagine that.
I think I speak for most of us when I say 17 this Vandy team and these refs
I don’t know what he has going on but he’s been off every game I’ve watched this season. Maybe I’m the jinx?
I think what he’s saying is that every game he’s been off this season, the rest of our team has stepped up, but that we can’t depend on that. I could be wrong tho
Honestly, baseball and basketball is enough to make me hope Vandy loses every game they play in any sport they play in. 17 them
Here’s a stat for you. Vandy had 3 quick fouls over a 40 second span right around the 8 minute mark. The other 18:10? 2 fouls
The whole thing. He is missing open looks and free throws. He accidentally banked in a 3. Let me clarify though. We can't reach our full potential without him getting back in a groove offensively. Our seed line and making it past the first weekend depend on him. Him being "on" to go along with all of our other weapons can take us from very good to elite.
Hard to win on the road against 8, but we did it. Those refs should be fired.
It’s becoming apparent that we CAN depend on it.
Everybody has off nights. The key is taking up the slack when it happens. THAT is the real difference between good and elite.
That thread about most surprising player this year, I'd like to change my vote to Menendez Melendez (oops!).
One more comment: ANY win in that barn is a good win. We haven’t had many up there over the years.
14-1 best start in 21 years. Amazing
It seems like every game somebody else steps up. Tonight it was Malendez. Saturday, it could be somebody else. That’s what makes this team so good.
So so random thoughts:
That court remains the ugliest thing I've seen outside of Oxford, MS.
Cam remains my favorite bball player since Charles Rhodes. Dude just does what we need him to.
Even when Hubbard has an off game, we find guys to step up. Melendez was that dude tonight.
The refs seemed fairly content to let them body us on nearly every possession.

Hope you are right, my guy. It would be icing on the cake if he got it together. This team would be elite.
I can see it both ways. We definitely aren't a one man show this year. I just think the team is on another level when Hubbard is on.
Hubbard is having to handle the ball too much with clary out. We need clary to get right.
